Postpartum has been a topic of conversation a lot this past month, and here at Northern Sun, our midwives want to remind you of something important: your mental health matters.

The postpartum period is a sacred, transformative time, but it can also bring unexpected emotions, challenges, and changes. You don’t have to struggle alone, and you don’t have to wait until your 6-week visit to ask for help.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, sad, or simply not like yourself, we are here for you. Our midwives are here to listen, support you, and help you find the care you need, no matter where you are in your postpartum journey.

If you or someone you love is struggling, please reach out. There is no shame in asking for support, and you deserve to feel cared for, too.

☀️ A little rain couldn't dampen the spirit of Memorial Day at Northern Sun!
We were treated to beautiful music by the talented Manalo Sisters — Rosalyn (14) and Lucia (9) — who played their hearts out and filled the air with hope and healing. 🎶
These two young musicians are heading to Japan this August to play for survivors of Hiroshima in a profound mission of peace. We are honored to support their journey. 🕊️🌏
Wishes for peace were also hung on the Peace Tree at Northern Sun, adding even more heart to a meaningful day.
Please join us in cheering on Rosalyn and Lucia as they carry music — and our hopes for peace — across the world. 💛

This Memorial Day, come join us at Northern Sun Family Health Care, along the parade route for something truly special — and help send two young musicians on a mission of peace! 🎻🎶

Ride by or stop in to see our classic truck decked out and ready for the occasion, where the Manalo sisters will be performing live music on their violin and cello — right from the truck bed — to honor those who served and to raise funds for a once-in-a-lifetime journey to Hiroshima, Japan 🇯🇵, where they will perform for atomic bomb survivors and play at the historic Peace Memorial Park.

We will also be unveiling our Northern Sun Wishing Tree. Wishing trees are one of humanity’s oldest and most universal traditions, found across cultures around the world for thousands of years.
Why a Wishing Tree on Memorial Day? 🕊️
Memorial Day is a day of remembrance — a day we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave everything so that we might live freely. It is also, at its heart, a day of hope — hope that their sacrifice was not in vain, hope for a more peaceful world, hope that future generations will know something different than war.

The Manalo sisters are traveling to Hiroshima — a city that has transformed unimaginable loss into one of the world's most powerful symbols of peace. It felt only right to bring the spirit of the wishing tree with us on this journey.

🌳 At our parade stop, we invite you to:
• Write a wish for peace, for healing, for a loved one, or for the world
• Hang your tag on the branches
• Know that your wish will travel with these sisters all the way to the Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima
Your words will be part of something far greater than a single day. They will cross an ocean. 🌊
