Looking for ways to stretch your food dollars? Do you know you can make atleast 4 meals from a whole chicken? Join us in this hands-on workshop, as we walk you through each cut to get the most food for your buck. You will leave with an entire chicken butchered by you and ready to go in your freezer. You bring your own knives and cutting board. We provide the rest.
Spaces must be reserved by September 22 and we will need at least four people minimum for the teacher to come to town.

It is processing week on the farm! Fresh chicken will be hitting the freezers at the Mercantile soon.
We also have the option to order fresh whole chickens, before freezing. These will be $30 each. Birds are approximately 7lbs. Price will be $10 /lb in the shop and cuts will be available.

Psstt: have you heard? The Free Table is making a comeback over at Mesilla Healing and Hot Springs Mercantile! The first day up will be September 13th 11-3 during our Grand Reopening. Following afterwards the table will be up on Free Table Friday's only. It will be located towards the back alley next to the donation area. Take some, leave some. Things are happening and we need your help!

Several spaces for recycling are being created on the property of Hot Springs Mercantile. Donations are the backbone of these programs.
Things we are currently in need of:
books, small tools, kitchen gadgets, milk crates, clean garbage pails with lids, large contractor garbage bags.
The Mercantile is a program under Mesilla Healing , a 501c3. All donations are tax deductible.

When you shop local, you are not just supporting small businesses, your supporting families. As a vendor myself, $1 from every jar of jelly and every jar of salsa sold goes into an account for my grandchildren.
But that's not all.....
When you shop Hot Springs Mercantile you are supporting more than that, your supporting your entire community. As the main support system for our non profit Mesilla Healing, many of the products are owned by the organization. This means when you buy a bag of herbs, you also help replace someone's birth certificate, when you pick up some incense, you contribute to the next soup kitchen, when you shop our mini thrift store, you help a family in crisis. When you shop our vendors, your helping a small business get its start.
At the Mercantile we maximize every donation and every purchase to help the most people possible. There is no payroll. We are all here as volunteers because we believe in the mission. Grants do not support our programs. We operate by the love and generosity of community members coming together to help eachother. It's a true labor of love.
We can't do it without you! Make donations, shop the store, volunteer your time. Together we grow. Together we thrive. Together, we are the Hot Springs Mercantile!

It's all coming together! Now we need your help!

Hot Springs Mercantile is not just a retail shop, it's an experience. It's a hub to bring people together. It's a place to connect local farmers, growers, and makers. It's a place to share and a place to go.
The healing room and classroom are both ready to be rented by the hour. We have a community calender app that let's you see when the rooms are available and block out your own time slots. When not reserved, the classroom is open to the public as a space to work, use the internet or copy machine, have a cup of tea or chat with friends. Space can also be rented for parties.
The yards are cleared and ready to be designed. We are looking for donations of all sorts of outdoor furniture to create a meet up, and entertainment venue.
The sharing closets are starting to be filled..one outdoor space for garden tools to be borrowed and an indoor kitchen for different gadgets to be loaned. Let us know if you have anything to contribute.
The Donation Station is getting a revamp. The donation box will return to the yard this weekend. It will then get fenced in to the front of the shed and be secured at night. Donations of clothes, household goods, craft supplies, yard items and anything that we are trying to keep out of the dump can be donated here, then shared with the community.
The shop still has some shelf space available. We are accepting vendors that fit the Mercantile theme. We do not take consignment fees. 100% of sales are kept by the product owner.
We are doing it! We can't do it without you. This is a space FOR the community being built BY the community.
We look forward to you joining us. Together we grow.
