Emory Healthcare Medical Laboratory Science Program (EHC MLS) is a full-time hospital-based (4+1) program designed to prepare students, who already hold a bachelor degree, for the national Medical Laboratory Science certifying examination by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). The mission of the Program is to provide exceptional education and training that prepares future Medical L

aboratory Scientists with the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to become leaders in the profession of clinical laboratory science. Students learn diagnostic testing basics, such as urinalysis, coagulation, clinical chemistry and immunohematology (blood bank), as well as the latest advancements and clinical testing skills in esoteric areas like molecular diagnostics, flow cytometry and histocompatibility (HLA).
