The Titanic sank in 1912. It took 73 years to find her.

On this day in 1985, a joint U.S.-French expedition located the wreck nearly 2.5 miles down in the North Atlantic โ€” exactly where survivors said she went down.

Were you around when the discovery made headlines? Tell us what you remember.

It's never too late to discover something new.

A hobby. A skill. A passion you didn't know was waiting. Age doesn't close that door.

Come find yours. LIFEseniorservices.org

The September issue of Vintage Magazine focuses on technology - read the story of a Tulsa native who followed up a successful career with American Airlines, TiVo, and TV Guide to work in Tulsa's growing entrepreneurial scene. Other magazine content includes a Tulsa Tour by an AI Chatbot, how AI can be a second pair of eyes around the house, and a profile of the Tulsa artist living at the intersection of sound, art, and technology.

On August 31, 1997, Princess Diana died in a car crash in Paris. She was 36 years old. In the days that followed, an estimated 1 million bouquets were left outside Kensington Palace. Over 2 billion people watched her funeral. She had used her platform to raise awareness for AIDS, leprosy, landmine removal, and domestic abuse โ€” causes that weren't always comfortable for a royal to champion. She met people where they were. She shook hands with AIDS patients when the world was still afraid to. She never stopped. For many who grew up watching her, the loss still lands hard.๐ŸŒน

We believe meaningful conversations can change lives.

That's why we're honored to participate in the Community Conversation Series: Ignite Compassion, hosted by ClarehouseTulsa in partnership with Ok, So Tulsa. We'll be there sharing information, answering questions and connecting with individuals and families who may benefit from our services.

The evening also features powerful, true stories of caregiving, resilience, healing and human connectionโ€”stories that remind us we're stronger when we care for one another.

If you're looking for resources, inspiration or simply a meaningful evening in the community, we hope you'll join us.

๐Ÿ“ Northeastern State University โ€“ Broken Arrow

Your story matters. Every season of it.

Growth rings don't erase what a tree's been through โ€” they hold it. Your history is the same. Learn from it. Don't live there.

That's what living well on your own terms looks like. LIFEseniorservices.org

On August 29, 2005, Hurricane Katrina โ€” a Category 4 storm at landfall โ€” hit the Gulf Coast near New Orleans. The levees broke. Entire neighborhoods flooded. Over 1,400 people died. Damages reached $145 billion, making it one of the costliest natural disasters in U.S. history. The storm exposed deep inequalities in who got help and how fast. Twenty-one years later, the lessons of Katrina still shape how we think about disaster preparedness, community resilience, and caring for our most vulnerable neighbors.

If Katrina touched your life or your family's, feel free to share below. We're listening.
