Sunday was one of the best days ever. ❤️🏆

Not only did the Carolina Hurricanes bring home the Stanley Cup for the first time in 20 years, but we also celebrated 3 years of Recreate Yourself!

Three years ago, Recreate Yourself started with just me—Laura—seeing as many clients as I could, sharing my passion for Recreational Therapy, and helping people understand the power of recreation, leisure, and nature in transforming lives.

What began as a dream fueled by love, purpose, and a desire to create positive change has grown into something I could have never imagined. Today, we have a team of 7 Recreational Therapists and 1 Life Skills Coach serving individuals across the state.

I am incredibly grateful for our amazing team, the colleagues and partners who believed in us, and the clients and families who trust us to be part of their journeys. Every success story, every smile, every goal achieved reminds us why we do what we do.

At Recreate Yourself, we truly believe that recreation and nature transform lives, and it has been an honor to watch that mission come to life every day.

A special thank you to my family for supporting me through this journey. Building a business hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has been worth it.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of these first three years. Here’s to continuing to transform lives through recreation and many more years ahead!

Join us for an afternoon of inclusive fun for the whole family! This indoor event brings everyone together to play adapted and accessible games such as boccia, corn hole, giant Jenga, ring toss, and more, perfect

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to spend time with some amazing people in the brain injury/stroke network at the and Luncheon. We loved hearing the inspiring stories from survivors and motivational presentations from professionals in the field. If you aren’t already connected with them, please reach out.
