I often see women who have been told to try melatonin, reduce stress, or improve their sleep hygiene.
And sometimes those things help.
But sometimes poor sleep is a symptom of something else: sleep apnea, perimenopause symptoms, night sweats, anxiety, depression, medication side effects, restless legs, pain, reflux, alcohol sensitivity, or metabolic changes.
If you are waking up unrefreshed, feeling exhausted during the day, having frequent night sweats, snoring, waking up gasping, or struggling with insomnia for months, it may be time for a more thoughtful evaluation.
Sleep is not a luxury. It affects mood, metabolism, blood pressure, weight, hormones, and how you feel in your daily life.
