Nutrition by Natalie, LLC Nutrition Counseling by a Registered Dietitian Hello! My name is Natalie. I live in Southeastern CT with my husband, 3 young kiddos and pup.

I graduated from UCONN with my Masters degree in 2014 and I have been practicing as a Registered Dietitian for over 8 years. For the last 8 years, I worked as an Oncology Dietitian at a local Cancer Center caring for patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy. My favorite part of being a Dietitian has been meeting and creating long-lasting relationships with my coworkers and patients,

helping clarify complicated/confusing nutrition advice found around every corner & simply just helping people become healthier versions of themselves. The source of motivation to open my own Private Practice was 1. the general lack of accessible/accurate nutrition services in the community and 2. knowing that by improving the health of my community, I could help people reduce their risk of preventable diseases (including cancer) that are linked to poor eating/lifestyle habits. Just as people are able to contact their own primary care, dentist, or therapist, they should also know where to turn to get accurate and evidence-based nutrition information. That's where I come in! My goal is to provide individualized and easy to understand nutrition education to give you the confidence to fuel your body right and tackle any health challenges you may be facing. My recommendation? Put down the phone while shopping and stop relying on influencers to tell you which products to eat or avoid (yes, I’m talking about the famous “Bobby Approved App”).

I could have added hundreds of pictures of products here that are “Natalie Approved”, and that’s because balance needs to exist.

If an app is telling you to avoid/choose foods based on:
-seed oils
-GMOs
-demonizing carbs
-individual foods or supplements being a “superfood”

… then delete. that. app.📱❌

Ok… protein is important. BUT we do not need protein added to every single thing we eat and drink. Instead of paying a premium for these “protein packed” waffles, why not buy regular waffles and ADD other ingredients to improve flavor and nutrition quality?

I hope this post helps you re-think how to naturally incorporate protein into meals and snacks using Whole Foods. Our bodies prefer to obtain nutrients from food, not entirely from concentrated protein powders and protein shakes.
