After having kids, I started to notice the appearance of my teeth looking a little different.

Over the years, they almost appeared thinner. If that makes sense?

I remember feeling self conscious about the lines I was seeing and started looking for ways to support my teeth naturally.

Before I even realized what I was doing, I switched to a mineral toothpaste. Then started using real salt, adding it to my water, and using trace mineral drops.

I just wanted to get more nutrients into my body.

What I didn’t understand yet was that teeth & bones need much more than just calcium.

They also rely on minerals like phosphorus, magnesium, potassium and other trace minerals.

It wasn’t until I was well into nutritional therapy school and eventually started learning about hair analysis, that I really understood how important mineral balance was.

Once I tested my own minerals, things really clicked.

Instead of just adding in as many nutrients as I could, I could actually see what my body needed more of.

That allowed me to be much more intentional with replenishing, and really accelerate the process.

And looking back, I had plenty of reasons my mineral stores may have needed support.

Having kids. Stress. Not eating enough (I see this often in women) Environmental toxins. Caffeine and alcohol. Dehydration. Lack of nutrients.

It all adds up.

The good news?

We can absolutely restore our nutrient stores.

Sometimes the signs your body is giving you make a lot more sense once you understand what’s happening underneath them.

It’s a huge part of why I do the work I do today. Our bodies are pretty amazing 💜

I never like hearing from women who are doing SO much for their health and still wondering, "Why don't I feel better?"

You're not necessarily doing the wrong things.
You're just trying to build on a foundation that still needs some support.

That's why I'm so big on looking at the basics first:
✨Minerals
✨Digestion
✨Blood sugar
✨Stress/Nervous system
And making sure your body is getting enough nourishment

Because if those pieces aren't working well, even the really good things you're doing may not have the impact you're hoping for.

Having a personalized plan + addressing your body in the right order...those make all the difference 💜

So proud of the hard work these clients have put in this year! I know it’s not always easy to ask for help. Just know that you don’t have to walk this path alone.

👉 Being told your labs are “normal”
👉 Going from specialist to specialist for each symptom

I had a visit with a potential new client this week. She’s been experiencing some POTS like symptoms recently; feeling dizzy when she stands up, unsteady on her feet, etc.

She’s also in the perimenopause stage of life. Also wondering if her thyroid function is a little off, as well.

After making an appointment with her doctor and getting a pretty detailed blood panel drawn. She was told what I find the be a problem with a lot of women, especially.

Everything was in range. It all looked normal. But she still is experiencing symptoms. This is where we often get into these cycles of being told to wait it out, come back in 6 months and we’ll recheck. Or being sent to a different specialist for each symptom.

Standard labs look for disease, not imbalance.

Functional labs or even using your current labs & looking at them through a functional lens.

We look for dysfunction. Where things are off, even slightly, and not usually being flagged just yet.

We're looking at optimal ranges and what's ideal for you to feel your best. We assess your body as a whole.

I have never gone over a client’s labs and told them “they look normal”. It doesn’t mean we’re chasing after things either. But it’s the truth. There are always going to be nutrient needs in your body. You’re an individual with unique needs.

✨With the right labs
✨The right approach
✨And a personalized plan

We can see what your body has been missing and you never have to be told again that your labs are "normal"

When she came to me earlier this year, she said: “I don’t know how to feed myself,”

She was a shift worker who had already had gastric sleeve surgery and was at the time on a GLP-1, but still struggling to lose weight.

She was also dealing with frequent constipation, gas and bloating.

She wanted to learn how to eat for her body & she wanted to get under 200 pounds.

We started by looking at what her specific body needed.

We used an HTMA (hair tissue mineral analysis) to assess her mineral patterns, and her results showed significant nutritional depletion.

This gave us important clues that her body was under stress and that simply trying to eat less wasn’t necessarily the answer.

Instead of taking more food away, we focused on nourishment.

I taught her how to:
👉 build a balanced plate for her body
👉 know which foods to prioritize
👉 work with her shift work schedule
👉 incorporate supportive lifestyle habits
👉 and we added 2 targeted supplements

Two weeks later, she stopped by my office with an update

She had gone from a bowel movement every 4 days —> daily

And she was already experiencing very little gas and bloating.

Then, last week she reached out to me with the following email:

“Hi Stephanie. I’ve been doing ok. I think the last time we spoke I weighed around 217 pounds. I’m currently at 197. So I think I’m doing something right!”

She’s officially reached the goal she originally set for herself: getting under 200 pounds.

She’s finally learned what her body needs & how to remain consistent with it. It didn’t require perfection, just staying the course and not giving up.

Learning how to eat, improving her digestion, feeling more confident about taking care of herself & achieving her weight loss goal…all of those mattered to her.

If you’re tired of trying to figure out on your own what your body needs, send me a message & let’s talk about what support could look like for you.

I’ve opened client spots and I’m filling them with the right people 💜

If you're never hungry in the morning, I would want to know WHY you're not hungry in the first place.

It's so much more than "just eat"

It's looking at the bigger picture 👉
how much you're eating overall, meal timing, digestion, blood sugar, stress, sleep, and what your body may be trying to tell you.

So no, it never means forcing down a huge breakfast you have no desire to eat.

It means figuring out what your body needs & easing into it in a way that feels good.

Are you a "never hungry in the morning" person? Tell me below 👇

These foods tend to get a bad reputation because they're high in fiber and certain carbohydrates that our gut bacteria ferment. Some gas from that process is completely normal.

But, it shouldn't leave you painfully bloated, uncomfortable, feeling like you need to unbutton your pants...or clearing rooms

That's when we have to start asking different questions

✨Is your stomach making enough acid?
✨Are you breaking food down well enough?
✨Does your body have the nutrients it needs to make digestive enzymes?
✨Is there something else getting in the way?

Your symptoms are clues. Not proof that your body can't handle these foods.

And you don't need another list of foods to avoid.

Sometimes you need to understand why your digestion is struggling in the first place.

That's where real healing begins.

Your test results might tell you what’s happening.

But, they don’t tell you what to eat on Tuesday when you’re exhausted.

Or what to order when you’re meeting friends for dinner.

Or how to build a breakfast that actually keeps your energy stable.

That’s where most women get stuck. They leave with more information than they’ve ever had before, but no idea how to use it in real life.

So they start guessing. Cutting out foods. Buying more supplements.

For a few days they feel like they’ve made progress. Then life gets busy.

They’re tired, hungry, and suddenly every food decision feels overwhelming.

No one has shown them how to turn information into everyday habits.

You need a plan that fits your body and helps you confidently answer this one question:
“What do I do next?”

That’s exactly what we work through inside of my 1:1 nutrition counseling.

Together, we take your symptoms, your health history, and your test results (when appropriate) and turn them into practical nutrition strategies that work on busy Tuesdays…not just on your motivated days.

If your stomach has been running your life lately; can we talk?

This week I have a little more space in my schedule than usual because I’m in between client sessions, and I’d rather spend that time helping someone who has been struggling with their health.

I’m opening up some free 20-minute initial consultations.

This is a chance for us to talk about what’s been going on, what’s keeping you stuck, and whether I think I’d be the right person to help.

Maybe you’ve been dealing with bloating after meals, heartburn, constipation, diarrhea, stomachaches, low energy, hair thinning, lab work that your doctor says is “normal” but you feel awful, etc.

This is your chance to ask questions and see if working together would actually make sense.

Low iron isn't always just an iron problem.

Your doctor looked at your iron panel, but they probably didn't look at:

→-> Whether you're actually absorbing iron
You need enough stomach acid for that

--> Your stress and nervous system
Chronic stressors on the body make it harder for you to absorb & utilize iron

—> Your mineral status
Minerals like copper, magnesium, and zinc all play important roles in how your body transports & stores iron

And those are honestly just a few.

I have some openings next week for free 20-minute initial consultation visits to see if we're a good fit to work together.

These calls/visits are for women who are ready to figure out why they're dealing with low iron, fatigue, hair loss, or other lingering symptoms.
and are willing to make simple nutrition and lifestyle changes that support long term healing.
