A Summer Solstice message for your Spirit

A Summer Solstice Wisdom Transmission Inspired by the Qorikancha of Qosqo

As we gather beneath the fullness of Inti Taita's northern ascent, we are invited into one of humanity's most enduring spiritual questions:

How do we become radiant without becoming consumed by our own fire?

The Inka answer to this question was not written in books. It was embodied in stone.

At the very heart of Tawantinsuyu—the vast Inka realm—stood the Qorikancha, often translated as "The Golden Enclosure" or "Temple of the Sun." Situated within the heart of the sacred city of Qosqo—the capital of the Inka Empire, or Tawantinsuyu--it was far more than a place of worship. Archaeological, historical, and astronomical evidence increasingly suggests that the temple functioned as a cosmological center—a living interface between Earth and Sky, matter and spirit, humanity and the animate universe.

Seen through this lens, the deeper teaching of the Qorikancha emerges. Spiritual awakening does not consist in acquiring more light. Rather, it consists of removing whatever obscures the luminosity already present within us.

The Qorikancha invites us to become living temples—not monuments to personal greatness, but vessels through which the light of life may move more freely into the world.

The Summer Solstice reminds us that illumination is not merely an external phenomenon occurring in the heavens above. It is simultaneously an interior event unfolding within consciousness itself.

May this Summer Solstice therefore remind us that our deepest spiritual task is not to become brighter than others, but to become transparent enough that the light entrusted to us may nourish the world.

Blue Moon
Despite its name, a Blue Moon rarely appears blue. It is the second full moon within a single calendar month and because it’s a relatively uncommon event it gave rise to the phrase “once in a blue moon.”

In folklore, the full moon has long been linked to transformation, prophecy, and divine feminine power. While there are no ancient myths specifically devoted to the modern concept of a “Blue Moon,” it is seen as a powerful time for reflection, manifestation, magical and spiritual work due to its rarity.

The New Moon in Ta**us arrives tomorrow, May 16th, and she's bringing some of the most grounded energy you'll feel all year. ♉️

Ta**us is an earth sign ruled by Venus. She moves slowly. She moves deliberately. And she doesn't care how fast everyone else is going.

The magick she brings is also slower. It's not loud or chaotic. It's intentional and steady enough to last.

Ta**us is ruled by Venus, so this moon pulls you toward comfort, security, self-worth, the body, money, food, and the physical world around you. You start noticing what feels nourishing and what feels draining almost immediately. If any of those have felt shaky lately, you're being handed a fresh start.

This new moon is asking you to plant seeds you actually intend to tend. No more half-hearted intentions you'll abandon by next week. Ta**us wants commitment, consistency, and goals that align with what you genuinely value.

This is also a Super New Moon, so her energy hits harder than a typical new moon. The seeds you plant tomorrow have real staying power.

Happy May Day, the beginning of what we hope will be a record breaking sea turtle nesting season in Southwest Florida. 🐢

Sea turtle nesting season in southwest Florida runs from May through October, when female turtles come ashore at night to lay their eggs. During this period, both residents and visitors play a role in protecting these endangered animals.

Key things to be aware of:
* Keep beaches dark at night by turning off or shielding lights.
* Do not disturb nesting turtles or hatchlings.
* Remove beach furniture and obstacles so turtles can move freely.
* Fill in holes and flatten sandcastles to prevent trapping hatchlings.
* Avoid using flashlights or flash photography on the beach at night.

If you find an injured, distressed, or disoriented sea turtle or its hatchling on the beach, it's crucial to contact local wildlife authorities immediately, such as the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission at 1-888-404-3922 or the Sea Turtle Preservation Society at (321) 206-0646, providing them with detailed information about the turtle's condition and location. Avoid using an artificial light near the sea turtle.
