๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ Your Vote. Your Voice. Your Right.

Every eligible voter deserves equal access to the ballot box. If you have a disability, you have the right to vote independently, privately, and without discrimination.

Did you know you have the right to:
โœ… Accessible polling places
โœ… Accessible voting machines (including audio, touchscreen, and Braille options)
โœ… Assistance with voting if you need it
โœ… Protection from intimidation, discrimination, and harassment

Barriers like inaccessible buildings, transportation challenges, communication barriers, or misinformation should never prevent someone from exercising their right to vote.

Your voice matters because the decisions made by elected officials affect healthcare, transportation, housing, disability services, education, and community accessibility.

If you have questions about voting rights or need assistance accessing voting resources, CILO is here to help. Call us at (561) 966-4288 or scan the QR code on the flyer for more information.

Together, we can help ensure every voice is heard.

๐Ÿ’™ Every donation has the power to change a life.

For more than 35 years, CILO has been helping individuals with disabilities gain the skills, resources, and support they need to live independently and be active members of our community.

When you give to CILO, you're investing in people. Your donation helps us continue providing independent living services, advocacy, information and referral, skills training, peer support, and so much moreโ€”often at little or no cost to the people who need them most.

No gift is too small. Every dollar helps create opportunities, build independence, and strengthen our community.

If you'd like to support our mission, you can donate by scanning the QR code below or visiting www.cilo.org/donate.

Thank you for believing in a more independent and inclusive community for everyone. ๐Ÿ’™

PBS KIDSโ€™ Carl the Collector made history as the networkโ€™s first series centered around autistic main characters โ€” but the representation didnโ€™t stop on screen. ๐Ÿ’š

Neurodivergent writers, advisers, animators and voice actors helped shape the show, including autistic actor Kai Barham, who voices Carl. The team worked with autistic people throughout production to help make the characters feel authentic rather than simply writing autism from an outside perspective.

Now the series has won two Childrenโ€™s & Family Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Writing for a Preschool Animated Series โ€” a pretty incredible milestone for a show built with autistic voices at its heart.

Representation is growing in childrenโ€™s TV, but thereโ€™s still plenty of room for more. What other autistic characters or shows have your family loved watching? ๐Ÿ‘‡
