Why is your diet so important ? 👀
If you’re struggling with acne, your skincare routine may only be part of the equation.
One of the biggest things I encourage clients to consider is the role diet may play in their skin health. While food doesn’t cause every case of acne, certain foods can contribute to inflammation and trigger breakouts in some individuals.
Think of it as a process of elimination.
Common culprits can include dairy, gluten, excess sugar, highly processed foods, and fried foods. But it’s important to remember that everyone’s body is different. Your skin may be reacting to a specific food sensitivity that isn’t affecting someone else.
Pay attention to patterns. If you notice your skin worsening after certain foods, it may be worth discussing with your healthcare provider or trying an elimination approach.
And don’t forget about the basics:
💧 Stay hydrated
🥬 Eat plenty of antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables
🍵 Incorporate green tea
😴 Prioritize sleep
✨ Support your body from the inside out
Healthy skin isn’t just about what you put on your face—it’s also about what you put in your body.
Your skin often reflects what’s happening beneath the surface.
