Bored of the same ole mobility routine? Same!

🐒 Monkey walks are an unconventional mobility drill that actually puts that mobility to work. They combine movement through multiple planes while challenging your hips, ankles, shoulders, and spine to move together.

They can help improve:
• Hip and ankle mobility
• Shoulder and thoracic mobility
• Coordination and body awareness
• Strength and control through different ranges of motion
• Your ability to transition smoothly between positions

The best part? You’re not just holding a stretch, you’re actively moving through range and teaching your body how to use it.

Sometimes the most unconventional movements are the ones your body needs most. Give monkey walks a try! 🐒

Dealing with hip bursitis? 👇 These exercises can help build strength and stability around the hip.

Try adding these to your rehab routine:
🔹 Clamshells — strengthen the hip abductors
🔹 Reverse clamshells — target the deep hip rotators
🔹 Single-leg bridges — build glute strength and pelvic stability
🔹 Mountain climbers — challenge core + hip stability

The goal isn’t just to reduce pain, it’s to build a stronger, more resilient hip so you can get back to doing what you love. 💪

Having persistent hip pain? A physical therapist can help identify the cause and create a plan specific to you.

⭐️Meet Mariah Jimenez, PTA⭐️

Hello! My name is Mariah Jimenez and I recently graduated from Collin College with my Physical Therapist Assistant degree. I also hold an Associate of Science degree and am a certified personal trainer.

My passion for health and wellness begin when I became a personal trainer. Through the experience, I discovered how much I enjoyed working with people and helping them improve their health through movement and I knew I wanted to take that passion even further. As a PTA I love helping patients work towards their goals, regain confidence in their abilities and get back to doing the things they enjoy.

Outside of the clinic I love spending time with my family, fiancé, and our three dogs (Finney, Fionna, Cooper), and being outdoors as much as possible!

Mobility isn’t just about being flexible, it’s about having the strength and control to move through your available range of motion.

The Crab Reach is a great full-body mobility exercise that combines hip rotation, thoracic spine rotation, shoulder mobility, and core control all in one movement.

Adding movements like this to your routine can help improve how your body moves, reduce stiffness, and prepare you for the demands of everyday life, workouts, and sports.

Don’t just move more. Move better. 💪
