Float tanks, also known as sensory deprivation tanks, are used by athletes, artists, business professionals, meditation practitioners, and all manner of individuals who have recognized the dynamic benefits of floating as a means to achieve euphoric states of relaxation and as a tool to enhance the already incredible ability of the mind-body. long, and is filled with approximately 10 inches of wate

r with 800 pounds of Epsom salt dissolved into it. The water is heated to a delightful 93.5 degrees, and this temperature and density of the water leads to the loss of kinesthetic sensation and the ability to reach the deep theta brainwave state, often achievable only through years of deep meditation practice. You may bring peaceful music to listen to, or float silently, and you also may choose to float with a specific color of light in the pod, or in complete darkness, as well as with the pod open or closed. Once in the tank, there is nothing left to do but to lay back and let go. Physical benefits of floating include increased blood circulation, increased healing abilities, pain management, increased immune system functioning, greater rest, and faster recovery time. Mental benefits include stress reduction, increased creativity, increased sensory acuity, sleep schedule maintenance, and feelings of euphoria. Every float session begins with a shower to remove oils, fragrance, and hair products. Towels, soap, shampoo, and robes are all provided. Each session will also end with a shower to rinse the salt from your body. There is no need to bring a bathing suit as you will be the only person in the float room, and most people float without clothing in order to reduce interference from stimuli while floating. Your experience at The Great Escape Flotation Center also comes with free flip-flops and sunglasses, as well as optional tea, and an optional massage chair experience. At the intersection of science and consciousness lies the transformative power of frequency.

Vibroacoustic sound technology uses intentional frequencies to shift the mind into optimized brainwave states while gentle vibration of the physical body stimulates the vagus nerve to transition the body into a relaxed, parasympathetic state. Together, this mind-body synchronization can restore cellular resonance.

Stroboscopic light therapy allows one to drop into profound, awe-inspiring meditative and hypnagogic states by flashing rhythmic patterns that trigger a phenomenon known as brainwave entrainment. Researchers are currently investigating the use of specific rhythmic light flashes as a non-invasive therapy for neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's. Sessions can induce immersive dreamlike and visionary out-of-body experiences.

Our diy sessions start at as low as $25 with the option for more individually tailored sessions with our certified vibroacoustic therapy practitioner available.
