May 14th 💚Join us at the Perimenopause Shift Event with SANTÉ Health + the reform method.

Today I went in for a DEXA scan + body composition scan with Dr. Faris Murad at SANTÉ, and it was such a great reminder of how valuable comprehensive preventative care really is — especially for women 40+.
———
Even as someone who is very active, strength focused, and works in health + wellness, my scan showed osteopenia in my lumbar spine. Thankfully, because it was caught early, I now have clear direction and a proactive plan moving forward. As a PT, I know how important strength training, loading, nutrition, hormone health, and intentional movement are for supporting bone density long term and it’s why I do what I do :).

It just made me feel incredibly grateful for the care team we have right here on the North Shore. Between the amazing PTs at TRM Evanston + Wilmette and Dr. Faris’s incredibly thorough evaluation process + full bloodwork capabilities at SANTÉ, I feel very supported heading into this next phase of health and wellness.

A reminder to my fellow women: these changes can happen quietly and without family history — getting a DEXA scan is empowering, informative, and so worth it 💚
