If last week had a theme, it was this . . . there is power in the pause.
•
Whether pause in the literal sense - or pause in the figurative sense, talk of the pause kept showing up.
•
There was talk about pausing to notice the breath, to feel something specific in the body, to observe the state of the nervous system.
•
There was a recommendation to press pause on certain aspects of a movement practice for the betterment of a pelvic floor symptom.
•
I also jokingly (kinda) requested that a patient take a pause in google-searching every aspect of a diagnosis - to help prevent the kind of rabbit hold that is hard to climb out of. (That goes for ChatGPT, too.)

I shared with my Friday yoga class that there would be an actual pause in that class offering for a week or two, which will carry over to all of my in-person group classes, as well, due to an unexpected change in the studio space availability. (I’ll also be on vacation for part of that time.)

I’m using this specific group class pause to do all the things . . . reflect, rest, recover, and regroup. I’ll be back on the other side, dare I say - new and improved.
