Innersource Wellness Center and Urban Regenerative Sustainability

We land stewart 2.5 acres of land between our Pike creek Site and our Westgrove site. Our Pike creek site consist of a food forest which we have been rewilding over a period of 19 years thus far. Our newly gifted Westgrove site now in its second year given to us as open unmaintenanced space; where we have so far cleared the space, created five urban farming spaces, built and installed seven community garden beds, built out a medicinal garden and planted sixty five fruit, nut and berry trees. We will be building a 20ft by 48ft greenhouse on this site this year and installing a water catchment system. Lots more planned for both spaces.

We have received lots of support and helping hands from the community in our journey thus far which has allowed us to do many of the things we do. Within the past couple of years we have also been even more blessed to have the young helping hands from our environmental stewards at GBC during the spring season and U Of D during the summer season. We are hoping to expand further through these partnerships.

Hosting the I Fly High Institite Children's Nature Enrichment Program with Dr. Heather Townsend and Messiah’s Market

Hosting the New Grounds Grower Program through the Delaware Urban Farm and Food Coalition and the New Castle Conservation District

Hosting site for the second annual Delaware Black Farmers Farm Crawl through the Mid-Atlantic Black Farmers Caucus

Also with now serving on the Board of Directors for the Delaware Nature Society we will be supporting in the areas of education and diversity equity and inclusion to support the organizations short and long term initiatives.

We will be contuining to look to partner with other organizations and institutions for earth stewardship and education for the 2027 season. This week its full steam ahead. We still have much to do in preparation for earthday and me taking flight to AZ for my PhD defense.

The fatigue is real!...but getting it done and so very excited for both times. I am seeing alot of folks coming through our eventbrite..as well as reaching out. It should be a beautiful day of Community celebration. Rain or Shine....

Remember you can feel free to bring something to share for the potluck table as well as seed sharing.

The IWC Kitchen will be offering:

Potatoe Salad
Cold Apple Cider
Bottled water

Both the U of D and GBC will be donating hotdogs and hamburgers for the grille. Very grateful for both...Thank you....
