✨You Are More Than Your Diagnosis🌟

Competitive rock climber and American Ninja Warrior star Katie Bone was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at just 11 years old after experiencing unusual symptoms during a divisional climbing competition.

Did she let that stop her? Absolutely not. In fact, Katie returned to climbing just days after her diagnosis — determined not to let T1D take away the sport she loved. 💙

Since then, she has continued to push limits, break barriers, and inspire others through her athletic career. Katie is proof that T1D does not define you — it’s just one part of your story. It challenges you, shapes you, and can even make you stronger than you ever imagined.

At camp, we want every child living with diabetes to know this same truth: your diagnosis does not limit your dreams. You are still an athlete, an adventurer, a leader, and so much more. 💫

Today, we remember and honor the heroes who gave everything for our freedom. 🇺🇸
At camp, we know the meaning of courage, teamwork, and looking out for one another — values that so many brave servicemen and women lived every day.

As we spend time with friends and family this Memorial Day, we pause to thank and remember those who made those moments possible. ❤️🤍💙

From camper to counselor, and volunteer Grace has been part of our camp family since 2010! Starting as a camper, growing into a CIT, and now leading as our CIT Director, Grace’s journey is a wonderful example of how camp helps young people grow in confidence, leadership, and life with T1D.

Over the years, we’ve watched her learn more about herself, build lifelong friendships, and turn her experiences into encouragement and support for the next generation of campers. Now, she’s helping future counselors discover their own strength and potential — and we couldn’t be more grateful for everything she brings to camp each summer.

Thank you, Grace, for your dedication, leadership, and heart for our campers. 💙
