Reimbursement Specialist (Healthcare Collections)

⏰ Schedule: Monday – Friday (Day Shift)
✅About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Reimbursement & Collections Specialist with a sharp eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills to manage billing, denials, and payer follow-up for a growing home health provider in Sarasota. If you excel at investigating claim rejections, navigating clearinghouses, and securing payments from commercial payers, this role is for you.
✅What You’ll Do
Work claim rejections, denials, and aging accounts to drive collections.
Proactively follow up with commercial insurance payers and clearinghouses via phone and web portals.
Audit billing data, correct errors, submit appeals, and re-bill claims.
Maintain clear, thorough documentation on all patient accounts.
✅What We’re Looking For
1+ year of recent healthcare billing and collections experience (Commercial payer experience is required).
Strong track record of denial management, clearinghouse navigation, and active payer phone follow-up.
Solid PC proficiency (MS Office, billing databases) and minimum typing speed of 30 WPM.
Home Health, Hospice, or Medicare Part A experience is a huge plus.
Familiarity with WellSky (Kinnser) or Homecare Homebase (HCHB) is preferred (training provided).
