Your Unused Medical Equipment and Supplies Could Change a Life. ❀️

Every day, We Care of Central Florida helps uninsured and financially struggling Polk County residents regain their independence through Project Helpful Hearts.

Right now, we're in need of donations to help meet the growing demand in our community.

We are currently accepting:

❀️ New incontinence supplies (adult briefs and underpads/chucks)
❀️ New or gently used rollators
❀️ New or gently used electric mobility scooters
❀️ New or gently used transfer benches
❀️ New or gently used knee scooters
❀️ New or gently used shower chairs
❀️ New or gently used vehicle or home accessibility ramps

These essential items help individuals recover safely, remain independent, and improve their quality of life, all at no cost to the patients we serve.

If you have any of these items to donate, we'd love to hear from you. Every donation stays right here in Polk County and goes directly to someone in need.

πŸ“ž To arrange a donation, please contact We Care of Central Florida at (863) 662-4227 and ask for Tommy or Abbi.

Please consider sharing this post to help us reach more people in our community. Together, we can ensure our neighbors have access to the medical equipment and supplies they need when they need it the most.

❀️ Because every donation makes a difference.

πŸ’— Meet the Team Monday

Behind every successful patient ride is someone making sure the details are taken care of, and that's exactly what Daniela does every day.

Daniela says one thing she's learned since joining We Care is just how many people in our community need a helping hand. That realization continues to inspire the work she does behind the scenes, helping patients get where they need to be for the care they deserve.

Outside of work, Daniela enjoys watching Home Alone, loves candy and good company, dreams of one day becoming fluent in multiple languages, and has a bucket list goal of buying a bigger home for her family.

She describes herself as empathetic, creative, and a good friend, and we're grateful to have her as part of the We Care family. πŸ’•

Every patient has a story. Every story reminds us why Project New Sight matters. πŸ’š

For thousands of Polk County residents, clear vision isn't just about seeing better. It's about preserving independence, managing chronic health conditions, staying employed, driving safely, reading to grandchildren, and maintaining a better quality of life.

Through Project New Sight, We Care of Central Florida provides free annual comprehensive eye exams and prescription eyeglasses to eligible uninsured residents, ensuring that financial hardship is never the reason someone loses their sight.

This testimonial is a powerful reminder that access to vision care can truly change a life.

Together with our volunteer eye care providers, donors, and community partners, we're helping our neighbors see a brighter future, one patient at a time. πŸ‘“πŸ’š

380+ Reasons to Smile

Between October 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026, Project New Sight provided more than 380 pairs of prescription eyeglasses to uninsured Polk County residents.

Something as simple as a new pair of glasses can mean reading a prescription, succeeding in school, returning to work, driving safely, or simply seeing the faces of loved ones more clearly.

Every pair represents restored independence, improved quality of life, and a brighter future.

Thank you to our volunteer providers, community partners, donors, and supporters who help make Project New Sight possible.

πŸ’š Restoring sight. Changing lives.

πŸ›΅ A Little More Freedom, A Lot More Independence πŸ’™

This is what Project Helpful Hearts is all about.

We Care of Central Florida was able to connect our patient, Victoria, with a mobility scooter, giving her greater independence and the freedom to move through her day with a little more ease.

And judging by that smile, we think she’s pretty happy with her new ride! 😊

Every piece of donated medical equipment has the potential to change someone’s daily life. Today, that someone is Victoria.

Happy riding, Victoria! πŸ›΅πŸ’™
