Congratulations to The Modern Woman Health and Wellness Center, recipient of the Waterbury Regional Chamber Health Care Council’s 2026 Organizational Excellence Award!

Founded by Dr. Shivanna Subramani-Gonzalez with co-founder Jeff M. Gonzalez, the women-owned, multidisciplinary practice in Wolcott is transforming women’s health care through an integrated, whole-person approach. TMW brings primary care, gynecological services, therapy, medication management, midwifery care, and onsite ultrasound services together in one welcoming location.

By recognizing that physical, mental and emotional health are deeply connected, TMW makes it easier for women to receive comprehensive, coordinated care throughout every stage of life. Its patient-centered approach has earned the trust of women across Connecticut, as reflected in more than 500 five-star patient reviews.

The organization will be honored during the 21st Annual Health Care Council Awards Breakfast on Tuesday, Sept. 22.

The Modern Woman Health and Wellness Center has been named a finalist for the 2026 FOX61 and United Way ImpaCT Awards in the Small Business Making an ImpaCT category. 🎉

Yesterday morning we visited the FOX61 studios in Hartford alongside the other finalists being recognized for their contributions to healthcare, mental health services, and education across Connecticut.

Being named among them reflects the trust our patients place in us and the care our team brings to every visit. The awards ceremony takes place October 28th at the Hartford Marriott Downtown. Stay tuned… hopefully we can bring home the win for our TMW community! 🏆

It's going to be one of those late nights for me and a few of our TMW team members, haha. ❤️

Yes, it's Friday night in the middle of the summer 😂 but sometimes this is what it takes to hold the standard we have for our clients. And after a day like today, I don't mind one bit.

We say all the time how honored we are to care for the women in our community, but I don't think you realize how much you inspire us too.

Just today, a client walked in with the biggest smile to share her good news and completely warmed our whole office. We celebrated three of our young ladies making big moves with CT Hires and the American Job Center in Waterbury, where the WIOA grant is helping them start their education and build careers in healthcare. We sat with some of our younger clients who are simply trying to figure life out. We celebrated another weight-loss success story and all the hard work behind it. And we read some incredibly kind Google reviews, which we do read, every single one.

We may be here to care for you, but you're the ones doing the work. You trust us with your stories and let us be part of your wins, your hard days, and some of the biggest moments of your lives.

So yes, it might be a late Friday night for us 😂❤️ but these are the stories that make it worth it.

Breastfeeding Awareness Week is here, and it marks the start of National Breastfeeding Month, so we are celebrating you all August long.

From August 3rd through 31st, current and newly registered patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding are invited to enter our free in-office raffle. Every entry receives a gift bag with breast milk storage bags, a children's activity book, and local Connecticut resources while supplies last.

Raffle prizes include the Solly baby wearing wrap, the Spectra double electric breast pump, the Spectra S2 Plus, the Motif Luna, and the Motif backpack cooler for storage.

Not a patient yet? Come in and establish care with us. As a Certified Lactation Counselor, Christina offers appointments during pregnancy to help you prepare for breastfeeding and appointments after birth for ongoing support.

Stop by the office anytime this month to enter. Winners will be drawn August 31st.
