3 simple habits that can make a big difference in your pelvic health!

💚 Fiber – Keep things moving and reduce straining during bowel movements.

💧 Hydration – Support healthy bladder and bowel function.

🚶‍♀️ Daily movement – Keep your body moving, support circulation, and encourage healthy digestion.

Pelvic health isn’t just about Kegels. Sometimes, it’s the little things you do every day that make the biggest difference.

Which one could you be more consistent with?

Pelvic floor dysfunction is about so much more than bladder leakage. đź’ś

It can impact how you move, your ability to do everyday activities, and ultimately, your quality of life.

Being able to get on the floor and play with your children again isn’t a small win. It’s life-changing.

At Rise Above, we look at the whole body, connect the dots, and address the root cause so you can get back to doing what you love.

Because you deserve more than symptom relief. You deserve to feel like yourself again.

Plot twist: Your pelvic floor doesn’t always need MORE squeezing. 👀

If you’re pregnant and leaking when you jump, the answer isn’t necessarily to stop jumping or do 100 Kegels a day.

Your pelvic floor needs to coordinate with your breath, core, and the rest of your body to manage pressure and impact.

And sometimes, the missing piece isn’t strength at all.

Pregnancy doesn’t automatically mean giving up the movement you love. It means understanding what YOUR body needs.

At Rise Above, we help you get to the root of your symptoms so you can move with confidence.

Follow Pelvic Health Specialists | Rise Above PT for the pregnancy and pelvic floor education you wish someone told you sooner.

Sometimes you need someone to listen. Sometimes you need someone to put the pieces together. And sometimes you need someone in your corner reminding you that progress is possible.

At Rise Above, being your pelvic floor therapist means showing up as all of those things and helping you feel more confident in your body along the way.

Have questions but aren’t sure where to start? Send us a DM. Nothing is TMI here.

There’s something so special about being in a room full of clinicians who are passionate about making a difference in pelvic health. 🤍

This weekend, I had the privilege of serving as a Teaching Assistant for Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute’s Pelvic Floor Level 1 course, helping support clinicians as they begin their journey into the world of pelvic health.

One of my favorite parts of the weekend wasn’t just the learning or hands-on practice. It was the conversations, the curiosity, the questions, and seeing the excitement as everything started to come together.

Knowing that every clinician in that room will go on to impact countless lives is such an incredible feeling.

As someone who is so passionate about helping people better understand their bodies and find answers, it means so much to be part of educating the next generation of pelvic health clinicians.

The more clinicians we have who understand pelvic health, the more people we can reach, the more conversations we can start, and the fewer people will have to suffer in silence.

To all the amazing clinicians I met this weekend, I can’t wait to see the impact you make in this field! Keep asking questions, stay curious, and never stop learning.

Thank you, Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, for the opportunity to be part of this journey!

“Wait… I thought that was just normal.”

The leaking when you laugh.
The pain you’ve learned to live with.
The changes in your body after having kids.
The symptoms you’ve brushed off as “just getting older.”

And then you hear another woman talking about the EXACT same thing you’ve been silently experiencing for years.

That’s the power of unfiltered conversations.

Because sometimes, we don’t even know there’s a question we should be asking until someone else asks it first.

At Rise Above PT, we hear “I wish I knew sooner” far too often.

And our mission is to change that to “I’m so glad I asked.”

You don’t have to wait until symptoms become unbearable to start understanding what’s happening in your body.

And you don’t have to figure it out alone.

🤍 If you’ve been wondering whether what you’re experiencing is something pelvic floor physical therapy can help with, this is your sign to ask.

We’re offering a complimentary 15-minute pelvic health screening to help you talk through your concerns, ask questions, and understand what your next steps could look like.

DM us “ASK” and let’s start the conversation.

Because your story deserves to be heard, too. 🤍

Most pregnant moms are taught what to pack for birth.

Very few are taught how to prepare their body for labor.

Your pelvic position can change the space available at the pelvic outlet ,which means the position that works best for one mom may not be the best position for you.

That’s exactly why we created our Push Prep Program.

We look at how your pelvis moves, where you have mobility or restriction, how your pelvic floor responds, and which positions may give your body the best options for labor and pushing.

Because when it’s time to push, you don’t want to be figuring it out for the first time.

You want to already know your body.

Send this to a pregnant mama who needs this before birth. 🤍

A full-circle moment for Rise Above đź’›

This week, we had the opportunity to return to NYMC and teach future Doctors of Physical Therapy about pelvic health, pelvic floor function, lumbopelvic assessment, breathing, pressure management, and when to consider pelvic health referral.

The students brought so much curiosity, thoughtful discussion, and energy to the room. It was exciting to see their interest in the specialty grow throughout the session.

At Rise Above, we’re passionate about advancing pelvic health through strong clinical reasoning, whole-body care, continued learning, and education of future clinicians.

We’re grateful to be part of helping the next generation of PTs see just how much depth there is within pelvic health physical therapy. 🤍
