Care One, Inc.

Care One, Inc. Care One is a purpose-driven staffing partner founded in 1993, connecting skilled professionals with organizations through trust, understanding, and care.

Care One has been providing swift and effective staffing solutions since 1993. Founded by President and CEO Steven Cook, the company was created in response to a growing workforce gap and a widespread frustration with how staffing was being done. Too often, professionals were placed without consideration for their goals, and organizations were left without the right people to support their operati

ons. Steven recognized that the real challenge wasn’t just a shortage of talent—it was the lack of meaningful connection between people and the organizations they served. Rather than focusing on volume or rapid expansion, he chose a different path. His goal was not to become the largest staffing agency, but to become the most trusted. From that vision came a simple philosophy that still guides Care One today:

We listen, we learn, we understand. What began as a small operation supporting a handful of professionals and organizations has grown into a multi-state staffing partner. Today, Care One connects skilled professionals with clients across a range of industries and settings, bringing the same relationship-driven approach, quality standards, and purpose to every placement.

We spend plenty of time talking about what needs to get done. Let’s talk about the good stuff coming up instead.

What’s something you’re genuinely looking forward to right now?

Maybe you have a trip planned, tickets to something fun, a family get-together, or a weekend with absolutely nothing on the calendar. Maybe it’s as simple as your favorite season being right around the corner.

Big or small, we want to hear it. Give everyone something good to talk about this Friday.

Sometimes checking on someone sounds as simple as, “You’ve seemed a little quiet lately. How are you doing?”

And then actually giving them time to answer.

We spend a lot of our days around other people—at work, at home, running errands, sitting in the carpool line—and it’s easy to assume everyone is doing okay unless they tell us otherwise.

During Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, we’re thinking about the value of paying a little more attention to each other. Not because we’re expected to fix what someone is going through, but because noticing and listening can matter.

If someone tells you they’re struggling, believe them. Stay with the conversation. Help them find support when they need it.

The 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline is available by calling or texting 988.

When you’re considering a new job, what do you want to know first?

Is it the pay? The schedule? What the day-to-day actually looks like? Why the position is open?

Some people want the salary range upfront before deciding whether it’s worth having a conversation. Others want to understand the role, the team, and where the opportunity could lead before deciding how they feel about the compensation.

And for a lot of people, it’s probably a mix of both.

We’re curious—what information do you need upfront before you’ll seriously consider a new opportunity?

What’s a workplace green flag you notice right away? 💚

Sometimes it’s something small.

A manager who respects your time. Coworkers who genuinely help each other. Employees who aren't afraid to ask questions. People who have been with the company for years.

Those little things can tell you a lot about what it’s actually like to work somewhere.

💚 What’s one workplace green flag you always notice?

There are jobs to fill. That doesn’t mean they’re easy to fill.

A recent HR Dive article found that 44% of hiring managers say their organization has jobs they can’t fill, up from 36% last fall. Even more striking: employers reported closing an average of 21% of open roles without ever filling them.

That gap impacts the rest of your team.

An open position doesn’t make the workload disappear. It gets redistributed, shifts get harder to cover, and existing employees feel the strain.

For employers, the challenge isn’t simply finding *someone*. It’s reaching the right people, keeping them engaged through the hiring process, and making the right match before an open role becomes a long-term staffing problem.

That’s where having the right recruiting support can make a difference.

A lot of what makes someone good at their job never shows up in the job description.

Maybe you’re the person who trains new hires even though you’re not a manager, keeps a running spreadsheet because no one else was tracking something, catches mistakes before they reach a customer, or gets pulled into difficult situations because you’re good at handling them.

Those things belong on your resume, too.

Instead of listing only your assigned duties, think about the work people regularly came to you for.

“Helped with new hires” could become “Trained and supported new team members during onboarding.”

“Fixed problems” might become “Resolved customer issues and handled escalations.”

The work may feel routine to you because you do it every day, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a skill.

You don't have to be unhappy to explore new opportunities.

Interviewing doesn't always mean you're looking for a way out. Sometimes it's about learning what's available, seeing how your skills fit today's market, or simply having a conversation.

Exploring your options doesn't mean you're committed to making a change.

Would you interview for a role just to see what's out there?

Have you ever wondered, "What if I'd taken that job?"

Most of us have at least one opportunity we seriously considered but ultimately turned down. Sometimes it was the right decision. Other times, we can't help but wonder where that path might have led.

Those moments remind us that careers rarely follow a straight line—and that's okay.

Is there a job you almost took that you still think about?

The best hires aren't always the fastest hires.

Hiring isn't just about filling an opening—it's about finding the right fit.

Skills and experience are important, but so are communication, adaptability, and shared expectations. When employers take the time to make thoughtful hiring decisions, everyone benefits.

What do you think makes someone a great hire? We'd love to hear your thoughts.
