SAQA recognised Professional Body for Wellness Counsellors, Holistic Practitioners & Supportive Counsellors

The ASCHP is a SAQA recognised professional body for counsellors who work in the domain of wellbeing. Lay counsellors with a skills qualification and/or applicable experience may apply via RPL for membership in the category Supportive Counsellor. The designation of Holistic Counsellor makes provision for practitioners who work in the fields of traditional herbalism and ethnomedicine; BA (Psycholog

y) candidates may apply in the category Wellness Counsellor (WC), or Specialist WC in the case of postgraduate qualifications. Registration can provide for work opportunities in counselling and related fields as members practice under an ethical code and wellbeing scope of practice and may charge consultation fees for services rendered.
