A morning of movement, connection and community. 💙
We were grateful to be part of the Spring Walk at Twee Riviere Aftree Oord, where residents came together for a morning of activity, conversation and connection.

Along the route, our team had the opportunity to meet residents, share more about Sungardens Palliative Care and talk about the support available to patients and families living with life-limiting illness.

Being part of events like this allows us to connect with our community, share our story and help more people understand how palliative care can support patients and their families.

Thank you to Twee Riviere Retirement Village for inviting us to be part of such a lovely morning.

Safer transfers. Greater dignity. And a safer working environment for those who provide the care. 💙

Sungardens is raising funds for an Arjo Sara Stedy – EUUK, a mobility aid designed to assist with sit-to-stand transfers.

For our care workers, it can reduce the physical strain and risk associated with manual lifting. For our patients, it provides a more secure and comfortable way to move while encouraging participation and independence.

Supporting this equipment means helping us create safer care for our staff and a better experience for our patients.

If you are able to contribute towards this important piece of equipment, we would be incredibly grateful.

Every contribution helps us continue providing quality palliative care.

Knowing your numbers is one small step that can make a meaningful difference to your health.

On Thursday, 27 August, Sungardens Palliative Care will be joining our partners for a Diabetes Awareness & Community Health Day in Mamelodi.

The day will include:
• Diabetes education and awareness
• Glucose testing
• Health screening
• HIV testing through the Department of Health counsellors at Holani Clinic
• Health information and referrals
• Free glucometers for those who need one

A day to listen, share ideas, ask questions and have a say in where Sungardens goes next.

Different roles. Different perspectives. One Sungardens.

And behind all of it is the same purpose: being there for people and families who need care and support.

That care needs people behind it.
Our Circle of Care helps support the work we do. For R40, you receive two wristbands: one to wear and one to share with someone else.
