Muscle isn't just about strength or ascetics- it's essential for metabolism, mobility, independence, and healthy ageing.

WEEKLY RECIPE
Cold winter nights call for comfort food (without the added kilojoules) 🥦

Ingredients:
4 cups water
4 cups broccoli, florets
1 clove garlic, minced
1 onion, chopped
1 tsp dried thyme
1 ½ tsp salt
½ tsp dried oregano
Ground black pepper
¼ tsp turmeric powder
Chilli flakes if desired
Small pat of butter

Instructions:
1. Pan fry the onion and garlic in a little butter then add the thyme, oregano, chilli flakes, salt, and pepper in a large pot. Separately steam the broccoli until tender (add salt). Combine everything (including the water) in a blender and blend until smooth
2. Remove from the heat and let it cool slightly
3. Serve warm. Can add extra black pepper to taste
Note: can optionally 1 stock cube and 1 Tbsp cake flour to thicken the soup
