When it comes to skincare, we believe it’s worth looking beyond the word “natural” and asking: What kind of oil is actually in your skincare?
PUFAs (polyunsaturated fatty acids) are more susceptible to oxidation than saturated and monounsaturated fats. That’s why we choose to formulate with low-PUFA oils and fats wherever possible.
Some examples of lower-PUFA options include:
🥥 Coconut oil
🫒 Olive oil
🌱 Jojoba oil
🐄 Grass-fed tallow
🌰 Macadamia oil
On the other hand, oils such as grapeseed, rosehip and evening primrose are much higher in polyunsaturated fatty acids.
At Pure Primal Skin, we’re interested in skincare that works with the skin. We use traditional, nourishing fats and carefully selected oils rather than simply following the latest beauty trend.
Low-PUFA skincare. Less unnecessary oxidation. More thoughtful formulation.
