It was such a privelege to suit up and check out the beehives with Apitherapist Dr Zorica Plavsic and master beekeeper Dario Mardesic at the superb Honey Garden established by the Serbian Beekeepers Association. The Honey Garden and beehive air facility has been built over the past six years on reclaimed industrial land on the banks of the Danube River, Belgrade, Serbia.

Mardesic shows us the Belgrade Honey Garden, Serbia.
Dario is the master beekeeper of the Honey Garden, a stunning project of the Serbian Beekeepers Association to provide a wonderful community facility on formerly polluted and disused industrial land.
The project has seen the site completely rejuvenated as a specialist habitat for all pollinators, bringing vitality back to a formerly unattractive site.
The Honey garden provides and educational resource, a pleasant respite location and the home of an impressive beehive air facility that is managed by the beekeepers and doctors that specialise in Apitherapy.
One of these is Dr Plavsic, a lung specialist, who helps patients recover using the beehive air facility.
A huge thank you to the Serbian Beekeepers Association for their warm hospitality.
