Checking for a pulse sounds simple.

But when someone has collapsed, people are panicking, and every second matters, it can be surprisingly difficult to know whether you’ve found one.

For many people, finding a pulse in an emergency is unfamiliar, stressful and difficult to do with confidence.

That uncertainty is why we're developing Pulse Tile™, technology designed to provide real-time pulse feedback and support people during those critical first moments of a suspected cardiac arrest.

Because in an emergency, confidence matters too.

You might have seen our recent announcement that Pulse Tile™ has secured $900,000 in non-dilutive funding through AUScelerate’s Targeted Translation Research Accelerator (TTRA) for Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease, supported by the Medical Research Future Fund.

But what does non-dilutive actually mean?

Put simply, it means we can access this funding without giving up additional equity in Pulsatile Innovations in exchange for it.

For an early-stage medtech company, that’s a significant milestone.
The funding will support development activities that help move Pulse Tile™ towards future clinical validation and commercialisation, giving our team the opportunity to take some important next steps.

It’s a major milestone, but it’s also the beginning of a big new phase.
There’s plenty of work ahead, and we’re excited to get started. 💚

"Can you find a pulse?"

For Jo, it's a question she's heard more times than she ever imagined.

Her husband, Pat, lives with an inherited heart condition and has experienced multiple cardiac arrests. For Jo and their family, the possibility of another emergency is something they have had to learn to live with.

When an emergency happens, finding a pulse can be difficult, even with first aid training and lived experience.

Their story is one of resilience, humour, uncertainty and hope. It's about the reality of living with heart disease, the impact cardiac arrest can have on an entire family, and the moments that stay with you long after the emergency is over.

Jo and Pat have generously shared their story with us, and we're honoured to share it with you.

🚨 BIG NEWS FROM PULSE TILE™!

We have some very exciting news to share.

Pulsatile Innovations has been awarded $900,000 in non-dilutive funding through AUScelerate’s Targeted Translation Research Accelerator (TTRA) for Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease, supported by the Medical Research Future Fund.

This is a huge milestone for Pulse Tile™ and will help accelerate the next phase of our development. As part of the TTRA Devices cohort, we’ll also have access to broader acceleration support including mentorship, peer-to-peer networking and capability-building opportunities.

The TTRA program supports promising Australian medical devices addressing cardiovascular disease and complications of diabetes, helping technologies progress towards commercialisation.

We're incredibly proud of how far Pulse Tile™ has come, and even more excited about where we're going next.

We’re excited to share that Pulse Tile™ has been awarded a Gate 1 investment from the Australian National Fabrication Facility Commercialisation (ANFF-C) program. 💚

This support will help us explore some important next steps for Pulse Tile™, including financial modelling, IP strategy and market alignment as we continue working towards bringing our technology closer to market.

We’re incredibly grateful to the ANFF-C team for recognising the potential of Pulse Tile™ and backing us on this journey.
