Thank you everyone who came today to celebrate US!!

KB Infinity Support – Celebrating 6 Years!

Today I was going to say a few words however cooking sausages totally took over!!

So Craig and I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone for being here today to celebrate six years of KB Infinity Support!

Six years! It’s actually quite hard to believe.

We just wanted to thank the amazing people who have been part of our journey.

Craig and I are incredibly grateful to each and every one of you. Thank you for believing in what we do, for sharing our values and for genuinely caring about the people we support.

Thank you for the difference you make in people’s lives every single day.

We have always felt that the title support worker doesn’t quite do justice to what this role actually means. Because you’re so much more than that.

You’re mentors, teachers, advocates, companions, and sometimes you’re simply that person who makes somebody’s day a little brighter.

It’s an incredibly special and rewarding job, and I hope you never underestimate or take for granted the difference you’re making.

We have staff who have been with us for many years, participants we’ve supported for a long time, and families who have become such a big part of our lives.
In many ways, we become one big extended family.

And at the end of the day, we’re all working towards the same thing: helping people live happy, meaningful lives, with opportunities, independence, choice and a good quality of life.

And we think that’s a pretty beautiful thing to be part of.

There is also another side to our business that we absolutely love, and that’s the friendships and relationships that have developed between our staff.

We genuinely love hearing that staff are catching up outside of work, going out together, forming friendships and becoming part of each other’s lives.

It makes us really happy.

Sometimes times we stand back and think, if we hadn’t started this business six years ago, some of these people may never have even met!! And we think that’s pretty awesome 🙌

When we first started KB Infinity Support, I don’t think either of us could ever have imagined that it would grow into what it is today.

But somewhere along the way, we’ve created this wonderful little/big village of wonderful people.

And that’s something we are incredibly proud of.

So, to our participants, families, friends, staff and everyone who’s been part of our journey. Thank you for trusting us, believing in us, supporting us and helping make KB Infinity Support so special ❤️

💚 Cerebral Palsy Awareness – 6 October 💚

On 6 October, we recognise Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day, helping to raise understanding and awareness of cerebral palsy and the experiences of people living with it.

Cerebral palsy (CP) is a lifelong neurological condition that affects movement, posture, balance and coordination. Every person with CP is unique, and the way it affects each individual can vary greatly.

With the right support, accessibility and opportunities, people with cerebral palsy can learn, work, build relationships, participate in their communities and live fulfilling lives. 💚

Awareness creates understanding. Understanding creates inclusion.

I wanted to share a great community resource that may be helpful for participants who need equipment but are reluctant to approach the NDIA for assistive technology funding due to concerns about plan reassessments or broader plan reviews. It may also be useful for participants and families looking to donate equipment they no longer need.

The Sharing Shed Foundation provides a practical community-based equipment-sharing service, helping connect donated mobility and disability equipment with people who need it.

Location:
Storage King Tingalpa
Tingalpa, Queensland

How it works:
Donated mobility and disability equipment is stored, organised, and made available to individuals and families requiring support. Equipment drop-offs and collections can be arranged directly through the Foundation.
