Yesterday we said goodbye to our beautiful mum Hazel. It was a tough day but a beautiful day of celebration and love. ❤️ Mum would have loved the pop of red, the flowers, the stories and the family and friends gathered to share their respects. The three of us would not be here today without you Mum.
My recovery journey continues to move forward and it is strength, courage and peace that can only come from God.
Thank you to my Brother (his first wife is a breast cancer survivor), my Sister a breast cancer survivor, for being there and pushing on. Together we are stronger and Mum would be proud.

Today is a great day to donate!!

As many of you know Breast Cancer is in my family. Not just me. My sister, sister in law, Mum, Aunty, Great Aunty have all had Breast Cancer. I'm stepping up now for my family and especially our future generation. Your support can help fund vital research and develop treatments that work, that are less invasive, less debilitating and hopefully find a cure. Sadly Mum passed away this afternoon. She passed peacefully surrounded by family, which is just what she wanted. Thank you for all your kind words and prayers. Vale: Hazel Barrett 07/09/1941 - 21/07/2026

Here is an update on my dear Mum. Her cancer treatment is going ok but she is generally struggling in other areas of her health. She is currently in hospital with fluid on her lungs. They are trying their best to clear it up for her so she can breathe and not be completely exhausted all the time. Initially she was stubborn and refused hospital treatment. I finally had to overrule her and take her in. Being her main carer is not easy, but I pray for wisdom daily as we go through this together.

Well I haven't climbed Kemp Hill in such a long time. Cancer and the treatment took so much from me and I am claiming it back one step at a time.
