🌿 Schedule Change 🌿
Out of respect for a beloved participant, our NHWW team will be attending her funeral on Tuesday, June 2nd, and our office will be closed during that time.

As a result, our Paint & Plant activity originally scheduled for Tuesday, June 2nd at 1:30 PM has been moved to Wednesday, June 11th at 1:30 PM.

Thank you so much for your understanding as we take this time to honour her memory. 💚 We look forward to a creative afternoon together on the 11th! 🪴🎨

We’re looking for caring community volunteers who would be interested in helping support older adults in our area—whether that’s through a friendly check-in, a visit and conversation, helping with a small errand, or lending a hand with light outdoor tasks like yard work.

For many older adults, even a small act of kindness or connection can make all the difference. 💛

💙 Help us support the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick! 💙

In honour of our upcoming Walk for Alzheimer’s, we’ll be selling beautiful Forget-Me-Not flowers—a symbol of remembrance, support, and hope. 🌸💙

These flowers will be proudly displayed on our wall outside the office as a visual show of community support for those impacted by Alzheimer’s.

All proceeds will be donated directly to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick.

A huge thank you to Edouard from Entendre Plus Hearing for joining us and delivering such an informative and engaging presentation on hearing health! 💙

Our participants learned about the causes of hearing loss, available support options, hearing solutions, and so much more. The room was full of great questions, meaningful conversation, and lots of interest from everyone in attendance!

It’s so important to have open conversations about hearing health, especially as changes in hearing can happen gradually and impact so much of our daily lives—from communication to confidence to staying socially connected. 💬✨

Thank you again, Edouard, for sharing your knowledge in such a thoughtful and easy-to-understand way. Our participants absolutely loved the presentation! 👏💙

Nos participants en ont appris davantage sur les causes de la perte auditive, les options de soutien disponibles, les solutions auditives, et bien plus encore. La salle était remplie de belles questions, de discussions enrichissantes et d’un réel intérêt de la part de tous!

Il est tellement important d’avoir des conversations ouvertes sur la santé auditive, surtout puisque les changements au niveau de l’audition peuvent se faire graduellement et avoir un impact important sur notre quotidien — de la communication à la confiance en soi, en passant par notre vie sociale. 💬✨

💙 A few more fun moments from March! 💙

March was filled with so many wonderful moments, and we couldn’t let a few of them go by without sharing! ☘️✨

From our festive St. Patrick’s Day Bingo, to a creative craft day, and all the laughter, conversation, and connection in between , these are the moments that make our program so special.

Whether we’re getting together for games, trying something new, sharing stories over coffee, or simply enjoying each other’s company, it’s these little moments of connection that mean so much. 💙

Thank you to everyone who continues to join us, laugh with us, and help make this community such a special one!

Le mois de mars a été rempli de beaux moments, et on ne voulait pas laisser passer l’occasion d’en partager quelques-uns avec vous! ☘️✨

De notre bingo spécial de la Saint-Patrick, à notre journée bricolage, sans oublier tous les rires, les discussions et les beaux moments partagés entre les deux, ce sont ces petits moments qui rendent notre programme si spécial.

Que ce soit pour jouer, essayer quelque chose de nouveau, jaser autour d’un café ou simplement profiter de la compagnie des autres, ce sont ces moments de connexion qui comptent énormément. 💙

Merci à toutes les personnes qui continuent de se joindre à nous, de rire avec nous et de faire de cette communauté un endroit si chaleureux!

What a fun and engaging afternoon we had with Carole Johnson from Swishing Tails - Holistic Therapy - Thérapie holistique for our March Snacks & Facts! 🐴✨

Carole introduced us to the world of holistic equine-assisted recreation therapy (HEART) and shared how this unique approach can support confidence, self-awareness, and overall wellbeing.

It was such an interesting session, and for many of us, a chance to learn about something completely new! The conversation was engaging, the questions were flowing, and it was clear everyone walked away having learned something different.

A big thank you to Carole for such a fantastic presentation and for sharing her knowledge and passion with our group! 💙

Quel bel après-midi engageant nous avons passé avec Carole Johnson lors de notre Snacks & Facts de mars! 🐴✨

Carole nous a fait découvrir le monde de la thérapie récréative holistique assistée par les chevaux (HEART) et nous a expliqué comment cette approche unique peut favoriser la confiance en soi, la conscience de soi et le bien-être global.
