💜 I AM 1 IN 9 💜

NICU Awareness Month is personal for me.

This photo captures the very first time Kaitlyn met her little brother while he was in the NICU.

He was very sick, and seeing your baby surrounded by monitors, wires and medical equipment is something you never forget. At a time when our family was scared and uncertain, he was surrounded by an incredible medical team who cared for him when he needed it most.

I will forever be grateful for the doctors, nurses and hospital staff who cared for my little boy. Their knowledge, compassion and dedication helped carry our family through an incredibly difficult time. 💜

Today, I share this photo not only as a doula, but as a NICU mom.

I know what it feels like to have your baby in the NICU.

To every NICU parent sitting beside an incubator today, celebrating the smallest victories and waiting for the day you can finally bring your baby home — I see you. 💜

And to the NICU teams caring for these tiny babies every single day:

This training will allow me to expand my knowledge and skill set so I can provide even more informed, compassionate support to the families I work with throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period.
