📱 Did You Know?
When you hire me as your Birth Doula through Serenity Birth & Postpartum Doula Services, I go on call for you starting at 37 weeks of pregnancy.
That means I am available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, ready to support you when labour begins. Whether your baby decides to arrive during the day, in the middle of the night, on a weekend, or even a holiday, I am prepared to answer your call and join you on your birth journey.
Knowing your support person is only a phone call away can bring peace of mind as you approach the final weeks of pregnancy. 💜
With love,Diana

💉 Epidurals & Cesarean Birth

A common myth is that epidurals increase the likelihood of a cesarean birth. Current research does not support this belief. Studies have found that receiving an epidural for pain relief during labour does not increase cesarean delivery rates.

Epidurals can provide effective pain management while allowing you to remain awake, alert, and actively involved in your birth experience.

💜 Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR)

Preparing for birth isn’t just physical—it can be mental, too. Progressive Muscle Relaxation helps you learn to recognize and release tension throughout your body by gently tensing and relaxing different muscle groups.

Practicing PMR 2–3 times per week during your third trimester can help you feel calmer, more focused, and better prepared to use relaxation techniques during labour.

The more you practice during pregnancy, the easier it may be to relax and work with your body when labour begins.
