Elbow River Healing Lodge (ERHL) is an Indigenous focused primary health care clinic which offers holistic, wraparound care to Inuit, Metis, and First Nations individuals and families. ERHL is made up of a multidisc

iplinary team providing medical support from family physicians, nurses, Prenatal Outreach nurse, allied health professionals, and specialists. Social work, outreach, and community advocate staff help clients with crisis support, resource navigation, intensive case management, and advocacy. An Elder/Traditional Wellness Coordinator provides clients with traditional FNMI healing and cultural connection. The Vision of ERHL is to have healthy Indigenous communities that are connected and empowered to access healthcare. ERHL strives to share available resources with our community but does not endorse any external events/information shared.

The Indigenous Reconciliation Initiative (IRI) is now open.

This program supports Indigenous-led cultural and economic development projects that advance reconciliation and strengthen communities across Alberta.

Funding of up to $100,000 is available through two streams: a cultural stream focused on Indigenous languages, cultures and arts; and an economic stream for business development and capacity-building projects.

Blackfoot Confederacy Chiefs Society to Host Gathering for Treaty and Unity

The Blackfoot Confederacy Chiefs Society will host a Gathering for Treaty and Unity on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Fort Calgary.

The gathering is open to Blackfoot Confederacy members, Treaty Nations, allies, community members, and the public. It will provide a space for people to come together in respect and shared understanding while standing in support of Treaty relationships and unity on Blackfoot Treaty territory.

Hosted by the Blackfoot Confederacy Chiefs Society, the event will reaffirm the importance of Treaty, peaceful dialogue, and respectful relationships between all peoples. The gathering also reflects the continued leadership of the Blackfoot Confederacy in protecting Treaty responsibilities and strengthening relationships across communities.

All are welcome to attend.
