A pressure is applied gently to the

airway to relieve flaccid anatomical muscle tone during sleep through an externally affixed mask. The patient’s perception is that similar to a fan, that translates into an airway splint or pressure to keep the airway open during sleep. Through repetitive use and as their pre-treatment symptoms subside, improved breathing is achieved. Most patients become accustomed to use and gradually become unaware or unbothered by the therapy. 💜 $8,000 for the ALS Society of Alberta!

DreamSleep is proud to once again support the ALS Society of Alberta through our 5th Annual ALS Fundraiser.

This year’s event brought together approximately 130 respiratory therapists, spouses and friends from Calgary and surrounding communities at the Wildhorse Saloon — all coming together for an important cause.

Thanks to an incredible turnout, ticket sales surpassed $7,100. DreamSleep matched the fundraising efforts and increased the total contribution to $8,000 — marking the second consecutive year we’ve been able to donate $8,000 to the ALS Society of Alberta.

These funds will directly support the purchase of essential equipment and services for Albertans living with ALS and their families.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, supported the fundraiser and helped make the evening such a success. We're incredibly proud of what this community continues to accomplish together.
