To be sustainable and honour our ethical harvesting methods means to have a reciprocal relationship with the land, our ancestral teachings and plant relatives. This is our land base healing to connect back to our old ways and to live off the land as we use to.

It is my greatest hope & prayer to try and preserve our cultural teachings through traditional medicine harvesting, protect it and pass it down to our future generations- our children. 🌱thankyou for watching & learning about wild agriculture with traditional practices on ancestral Coast Salish territories.

This summer we visited the kids great grandparents in Hope. It was a really good visit and we drove up to Merritt and learned from a local knowledge keeper and an elder how to harvest white Sage respectfully and to leave a gift of a shiny blue bead for the little people in return. It was so nice to harvest one of our sacred medicines respectfully and use it in smudging and to gift away.
I always bless each 4 sacred skincare package with a smudge to cleanse the medicine before it’s used as a natural healing remedy before I ship out each box. 🌱 ❤️

I was truly so honoured to meet my absolute favourite soul R&B artist LOV and share in traditional medicine infused into healing salves and skincare. She joined me with an offering of a liquid smudge with our “Sacred One Body oil” a gentle blend of devils club &white sage -connecting and cleansing both spiritual and physically. Being a mama bear of 2 and supporting them on my own I put alot of my hard work, love, compassion, sweat & tears into each wild harvested small batch. Some days are harder then the other, when I listen to “Mama” it helps me stay motivated and I am able to find my purpose and calling and keep working harder for my 2 greatest joys in life. LOV was so kind to gift me her record as I was not expecting that generosity because her voice was the greatest gift I could ever receive and being able to witness her preform live. Thank you to Sacred Legacy Photographer for capturing these sisterhood moments I will always treasure and to Dannina Lee Orr-Baldwin for always making my braids look so deadly.

A warm heartfelt appreciation to all my consumers who support not only local but Indigenous woman owned ethically sourced traditionally made. Huy Chexw a’ 🪶

Some people have asked me “why I call this medicine “ Devil’s Club” this is not our language but the colonial name for or scared plant. In the Squamish Nation language we call this plant Ch ‘at ya’y which translates to the “ Sacred One” where none of the plant goes to waist.

4 Sacred skincare honours wild agriculture with deep respect for traditional Coast Salish territories. That means we are not up for large mass production or even wholesale. It’s too sacred and slow growing that I would never want to hurt plant population. This is a gift only catering to the small farmers boutique markets. 🪶

Thank you again for supporting 100% indigenous, woman & mama bear owned. ❤️

That’s a wrap! The last market of the year! Thank you to the 4 sacred skincare team for coming out and all your hard work today. It was another great successful 2 day market at the Filberg centre with the Queneesh indigenous society. Was so nice to see so many indigenous venders and share in different teachings and lifting each other up. Thank you once again for all of our return loyal consumers who drove 3 hours up north island just to get their 4 Sacred skincare items and all the new customers for all the love and support. My heart is overflown with deep gratitude. Merry Christmas to everyone and wishing great health and prosperity to all.

Thats a wrap! 4 days at the “ Make it “ PNE show in Vancouver. Our largest showcase of the year 🎄It was such a pleasure meeting and building so many great connections and the interest, all the love and support in my indigenous medicinal plant skincare line and healing salves. We end up selling out of select products and I’m on the way back to the island to make it all over again for the next “make it” event at the PNE happening this Thursday -Sunday December 11-14.

Then heading back to the island for another Christmas market with the komoks nation and it will be so nice to wrap up the year with my loved ones before I start my tourism course starting in the new year. Stay tune for our spring and summer packages that 4 Sacred Traditional Plant Tours will be offering soon to come with guided forest walks, connection to land and water with cultural knowledge and indigenous plant identification by practicing the honourable harvest. 🌱
