The real ceremony is right here in the grit & mess of it all ... it’s not curated, it’s not styled, it’s not tidy, it’s not perfectly placed, it’s a different kind of beautiful ...
one that is felt rather than seen.
The ceremony is in the burning
of what you thought was you,
what you thought was valuabe,
important, a “good” spending
of your time ...
And here’s what I keep seeeing
to be true time and time again:
This fire ceremony, this burning ...
It happens in the mundane ...
in cooking the food, kissing the bonked bodies, feeding the baby by breast (or bottle), changing the nappies, walking to the park, cleaning up the spills, holding the children, choosing to stay ...
The real ceremony is right here, Mama. Nowhere to go, nothing to do, but stay. right. here. in it. however painfully boring it may feel. However triggered you may get. This is it. And it’s a season. It will shift . The medicine is right here in this messy moment, if you’re willing to stay present enough to taste it.
