I admit when I am stressed by the pressures of humanity I go to my horses to destress.

When I ride, I feel like I am in another world. Quiet, calm and rewarding. When I trot, canter or gallop the rush is real, no bicycle or run makes me feel like that. I can't imagine my life without horses.

When the day comes that I’m living in a retirement home I will be visiting a horse barn. Even if it means half boarding a horse I cannot ride. I will brush it and feel great just like I do now.

This is a Snowy brumby we call Mercy. She is now 5 years of age and lives free, happy and trained at Hilltop Eco Lodge near Destination Jindabyne with her brumby mob you have seen in some of the pics in this paper. Yes you can even stay there and interact with her and the others in their domestic mountain home.
We first met her as scared and confused brumby at 6 months old when we were picking up a load of trapped brums from NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service depot at Blowering. The Parks worker said can you fit one more in...and this was her. And we couldn't be more proud of her and all our trained SBH mob.
We are now very humbled to be asked to speak on her and the brumbies behalf tomorrow morning on 2GB with Luke Grant at 10:20am.
