💙 When I filmed this, I had been revisiting all my usual doubts and fears.
The thoughts that question whether I’m enough. Whether I’m on the right path. Whether I can trust myself.
Chance was standing at a distance when he saw me. Then he chose to walk directly towards me.
He stopped, turned around and gave me the ‘eye’ you see in the video. Then he let out a huge neigh, as if to remind me who I am and invite me to leave those thoughts behind.
It was a quiet but powerful message: you don’t need to carry all of that right now.
When we partner with a horse, there is often so much to notice.
Sometimes even a response we weren’t expecting.
Horses can invite us to slow down enough to notice what is happening in our bodies, our emotions and the space between us. And sometimes, in that quiet exchange, we receive something we didn’t know we needed.
That is part of what we’ll explore in Unarmoured.
