This week, the world lost a true trailblazer. Gloria Steinem — writer, activist, and one of the most influential voices of the feminist movement — passed away at 92.
For decades, Gloria fought for equality, for women’s voices to be heard, and for the belief that healing and activism can walk hand in hand. She co-founded Ms. magazine, championed reproductive rights and equal pay, and inspired generations to speak up and take up space.
Her words have long been close to our hearts here at KSRC. Our founder, Meagan, has carried this quote from Gloria on her own journey:
“The final stage of healing is using what happens to you to help other people. That is healing in itself.”
It’s a philosophy that echoes through everything we do — the idea that our stories, even the hardest ones, can become a source of strength for others.
Thank you, Gloria, for your fierce compassion and your unwavering belief in a more equal world. Your legacy lives on in every person who feels a little braver because of the path you cleared. 💜
