This past weekend I visited the Guelph Yoga & Wellness festival, where I received a nervous system reset from an Osteopath. The results were mind-blowing. My body felt calm where stress and tension previously existed.
Although it felt amazing, it also felt so unfamiliar. My body wasn’t used to that much relaxation. I actually found myself very uncomfortable. Can you imagine feeling uncomfortable while having your body so relaxed? That’s not normal. My body had become so used to being in a constant state of doing, that being relaxed for a long period of time didn’t feel good. This was a sign to me that I needed to slow down.
I began reflecting on how I move through each day. I spent some time journaling as I felt pulled towards slowing down and living life more intentionally. I reflected on what that meant, and what it would require of me. I prepared a book for me to work through each day to guide me into a deeper sense of presence.
I desired to live with more intention—making conscious choices and not living on autopilot. I wanted to be more grounded as I moved through each day.
✨ If you are also craving a slow down and want to live more intentionally, I encourage you to check out the journal prompts and quotes that I will be sharing weekly this month. Journey with me as we ground into our values and desires, and move through this month more mindfully. If you feel called to slow down, comment below.
