My body is feeling pain, even my hair hurts. But my kitchen witch soul thrives on making those around me happy by providing delicious yummy’s. Everyone’s self care looks different.

Therapy comes differently to everyone. I’m not your typical kitchen witch, I don’t fit inside a box of any kind and I feel like that’s ok. I go where I am called. I must admit cooking/baking has always been a passion of mine. There is something about immersing your hands in luxurious dough, watching as this mass of ingredients comes together under my hands into a beautiful delicious work of art, that is soothing to my soul. I feel pulled to the old ways, change is coming, and slowly I am awakening.

Healing comes in different forms for different people. For me food has always been an integral part of my life. The last 10 years my journey has been one of going back to my roots. Taking simple ingredients and putting them together to create something nourishing and delightful. Remembering my ancestors and how they fed their families with just the mere basics sometimes.

How many tears were shed, how many problems solved, how many secrets passed down and recipes, how much laughter was shared in so many kitchens while kneading bread, making soup, etc.

My witchy soul hates being boxed in and labeled. I heal and am healed in a variety of ways. Below are pictures of just one way. And on Imbolc it seems rather fitting 💖.

Sometimes in looking at things from a distance and a different perspective, we are provided with the opportunity to reinvent ourselves.

A mother, A father, A witch, A healer, A teacher, A student. Slowly as the world becomes more chaotic, uncontrolled, uncertain, we look to the old ways of doing things, we begin to break down the established barriers that have kept us in enclosed sections.

Who do you want to be? How do you want to be remembered? Because as the world changes sometimes it’s enough to know we just were. No great pomp and circumstance, no great stamp saying I Was Here. Perhaps, it’s enough to be a whisper on the wind that says I Will Always Be Here.
