Maybe you're not addicted to being busy.
Maybe slowing down just doesn't feel safe yet.

If you’re constantly overthinking, people-pleasing, staying busy, or struggling to rest, there may be more underneath it than ambition.

Sometimes it’s your nervous system that needs support, not another productivity hack.

If this feels familiar, I have a few free 20-minute Reflection Sessions available.

You can apply through the link in my bio whenever you're ready. 🤍

You don't need to completely change your life to start supporting your nervous system.

Try one of these:

1. Take 5 slow breaths.
Let your exhale be a little longer.

2. Unclench your jaw.
Drop your shoulders. Soften your hands.

3. Step outside for a few minutes.
Let your eyes take in the world around you.

4. Take a 10-minute walk.
No podcast. No phone. Just walk.

5. Put your phone away for 20 minutes.
Let your brain have a little less to process.

6. Shake your arms and legs.
Move your body instead of sitting in the tension.

7. Pause before you respond.
One breath can create a little more space.

8. Go to bed at roughly the same time.
Your body likes rhythm and consistency.

9. Let someone help you.
You don't have to carry everything yourself.

10. Give yourself five quiet minutes.
No fixing. No planning. Just notice how you feel.

And remember: regulation isn't about being calm all the time. It's about giving your body opportunities to come back down after stress.

Start with one. You don't need to do all ten today. 🤍

There are moments in motherhood I wish I could go back to.

Not to change everything.
Just to meet myself there with a little more understanding.

I know now that I was never short on love.
I was short on space inside myself.

And when you're already stretched thin, even the smallest thing can feel like the thing that finally pushes you over the edge.

I think a lot of us carry shame around those moments because we remember them so clearly.

The look on their face.
The sound of our own voice.
The guilt afterwards.

But looking back doesn't have to mean beating yourself up.

Sometimes it can mean finally understanding the woman you were, and giving her the compassion she didn't have for herself then.

That's part of what this work has given me.
Not a perfect response every time.
Just more choice, more presence, and a little more room to stay connected when things get hard.

And if you're still learning that too, you don't have to do it alone.

Maybe you've gotten so used to being the one who handles everything that you don't even notice how much you're carrying.

You keep going because you're good at it.
Because people rely on you.
Because slowing down can feel harder than staying busy.

And sometimes, underneath all that doing, there's a part of you that just doesn't know how to stop.

If this felt a little too familiar, you don't have to figure it out by yourself.
