Books have been some of my greatest teachers.

Not because they gave me answers, but because they helped me ask better questions.

The books I shared in today’s stories arrived at different points in my life, each offering wisdom, perspective, and reflection when I needed it most.

I’m curious…

📚 What book has stayed with you over the years?

Many people believe they need to have everything figured out before they reach out for support.

They think they need the right words.
The full story.
A clear understanding of what is wrong and how to fix it.

But healing rarely begins that way.

Most people arrive carrying questions, uncertainty, emotions they cannot quite name, or a feeling that something in their life no longer fits.

That is enough.

You do not need to arrive with a plan.
You do not need to explain everything perfectly.
You do not need to know exactly what you want to work on.

Often the first session is simply a conversation.

A chance to slow down.

A chance to be heard.

A chance to explore what is happening beneath the surface and begin building a relationship based on trust, curiosity, and compassion.

Feeling nervous is normal.

Wondering if you are doing it “right” is normal.

Not knowing where to begin is normal.

Whether you are seeking support through hypnotherapy, Reiki, spiritual counselling, or simply a space to reconnect with yourself, you do not need to be any different than you are right now.

You do not need to be ready.

You do not need to be certain.

You only need to be willing to take the first step.

Sometimes healing begins not when we have all the answers, but when we give ourselves permission to ask the questions.

✨ The only thing you need to bring is yourself. Sessions can be booked in bio.

Scarlett reminded me of something this week. While many of us are carrying worries, responsibilities, and endless information, she was simply standing in the moment. This reflection came from that quiet realization.

Ever wonder what your best friend notices while the rest of us are busy watching the world rush by? Yesterday I stood watching my dog Scarlett stop along the trail to investigate something that apparently deserved her complete and undivided attention. I have no idea what it was. Perhaps a scent left...

There are seasons in life when we carry more than we realize. We hold responsibilities, worries, grief, uncertainty, and the quiet expectations we place upon ourselves. Often we keep moving, believing we will rest once everything is finished. Yet the body has a gentle way of speaking before we stop to listen. Fatigue, irritability, forgetfulness, and emotional heaviness are not signs of weakness. They may simply be signals that we have been carrying too much for too long. Sometimes healing does not begin by pushing harder. Sometimes it begins with allowing ourselves a moment to pause, breathe, and set down what was never meant to be carried.
Save this for the days that feel too heavy.

There is something profoundly lonely about anticipatory grief. You begin grieving someone while simultaneously trying not to lose them. You find yourself suspended between two realities. One part of you wants to stay present and cherish each moment, while another part of you is already bracing for the emptiness that will eventually follow.

Beneath the story of illness in Goodbye June was another story entirely.
