Last year the story of the "Zoom Room Crew" taking it to the streets made it all the way to #2 for the Top 25 of 2025 https://liveworkplay.ca/2025/12/14/the-liveworkplay-news-top-25-of-2025/

They are still at it, by the way, most recently Jess, Lee, Alex, Rachel, Justin, and Steven took in the brilliant film "Coyote vs Acme" and had a great night out!

December is coming up fast and we'll see what stories make it into the Top 26 of 2026 when The LiveWorkPlay News is delivered and recorded live at the Festive Family Gathering on December 11!

This is an update generated by Carl Sanderson that helps explain what person-centred support is all about! Carl is employed part time at Trio Westboro but during the summer season he also works at Calypso Theme Waterpark. This means he temporarily needs his community support to shift to a different schedule. For the summer, Carl has been matched with Supported Independent Living Specialist Taylor Paxton, and he wanted to let everyone know, it has been great! Together they have taken on some different tasks in Carl's apartment, but Carl works hard and he has really appreciate support to just relax with some meditation, walking, and enjoying the community. As he wraps up another great season as a valued employee at Calypso, he will be returning to his fall-winter-spring support with Anthony Stratton and Chris Floyd. Thank you for sharing this story Carl!

We get asked about our golf tournaments, which produced so many great memories, just like these. There are no words to describe how important Jack Murphy was to making these tournaments a success, and when he rightfully passed the torch on this after his retirement, it wasn't the same. Then Denis Brisson and BNI East Ontario took up the cause and put on a great run of tournaments for LiveWorkPlay. This came to an end with the pandemic. Because we do get asked abuot it, we just wanted to share a bit of the history, name some names, and celebrate some of the memories.

What a day! Sold out again with 144 golfers and a beautiful day on the course with warm sunny weather and an equally warm spirit of generosity! Congrulations to Darren O'Connely for the most accurate drive, Mark Major for closest to the pin, and the team of Yannick Dom Pierre, Yves Meunier, Dan Hould, and Adam Joliffe for top team with a score of ten under par!

More than 10,000 adults with an intellectual disability are living in nursing homes—not because they need to be there, but because accessible, affordable housing and the supports they need to live in community are too often out of reach.

This is a housing issue.
It’s an inclusion issue.
And it’s an issue of human rights.

An amazing longstanding tradition, the Keay-Hudak cottage parties! In today's Facebook memories we were shown an album from 2011 (bottom of photo) with Constance grabbing some gear for fun at the lake, and David firing up the BBQ. And we just received a photo from 2026 (top) from last week. Peter Keay entertained his pals Justin and Royce, and Chris Floyd from the staff team provided transportation and joined in for some delicious BBQ. It was a bit of a rainy day so instead of lake activities, they watched sports and ate snacks. Nothing wrong with that! Thanks again Constance, David, and Peter for hosting.

Stephanie MacArthur is waiting for news on her next government contract, but in the meantime, she is building on her education from Algonquin College by taking additional online courses to advance her skills with Excel and SharePoint. LiveWorkPlay Inclusive Employment Specialist Robert Olsen was able to support this with a great setup in a Cours Bayview Yards workspace, and was more than happy to offer a lunchtime tour of some of the best food trucks in the city!
