We run four EndyMed treatments, and they aren't interchangeable. Three of them are radiofrequency, controlled heat delivered into the deeper skin to prompt collagen building. EndyMed Shape is suited to the body and larger areas. EndyMed iFine is built for the thin, delicate skin around the eyes, where precision matters.

EndyMed Intensif is RF microneedling, tiny needles that carry the energy deeper to work on texture and firmness together. EndyMed FSR is the different one. Rather than heating deep to tighten, it's a resurfacing treatment that works on the skin's surface texture. So this isn't four versions of the same thing. Summer showed up on your face. The freckling, the dullness, the texture that was not there in May. Sun damage takes weeks to surface, which is why it lands in September.

Fall is when we can treat it. Resurfacing needs skin that has been out of the sun and can stay out of it while it heals, so shorter days and weaker UV make now the safest window we get.

Skin tightening isn't one machine. It's a whole toolbox, and the skill is knowing which tool your skin actually needs.

Dr. Marcy walks through the energy devices we use for lifting, tightening, and in some cases tone and clarity, and the honest tradeoffs of each:

Fotona 2D gives some tone and texture and is good for gentle lift and tightening, with very minimal downtime. The catch is it works best as a series.

Ultherapy uses ultrasound at higher heat and bypasses the skin's surface entirely, so it doesn't do tone or texture, but it's our biggest lifter.

Intensif RF microneedling is excellent for collagen stimulation, lift, and tightening, and it works on tone and texture too. Downtime runs about three to five days per treatment.

Deep fractional resurfacing is exceptional for tone and texture, especially acne scarring, deep etching, and perioral lines. It lifts and tightens well, and you typically only come once a year. The tradeoff is real downtime, around seven to ten days depending on how your skin responds.

Here's the part that matters most. The win isn't picking the "best" device. There isn't one. It's matching the right device to your skin, your goals, and how much downtime your life can handle. That's a conversation, not a menu.

Order matters more than people think. Go thin to thick, lighter water-based products before richer creams. Vitamin C in the morning. Retinol at night, since it's light-sensitive. And let each layer absorb before the next.
