Our Community Health Worker can help you apply for the Seniors Care Grant! Call 902-616-2142 to book an appointment.
To qualify for the grant, you need to be 65 or older by 31 March 2027 and meet all of the following criteria:
- have a household net income of $45,100 or less
- live in your own home or apartment
All adults on the application must be at the appointment to sign the form. You will need social insurance numbers and dates of birth of all adults in your home.
Nova Scotia Seniors can apply for a $750 grant to help with healthcare and household costs.
The annual Seniors Care Grant program has helped tens of thousands of people across the province with the cost of home heating, yard work, meal preparation, grocery and prescription medication deliveries, phone service and more to help people stay in their homes longer.
People 65 or older, with a household income up to $45,100, are eligible for the grant. They can apply:

The deadline for applications is December 1.
Seniors who are signed up for direct deposit with the Canada Revenue Agency will receive funds through direct deposit. All other eligible applicants will receive their payment by cheque.
