Your child came home with their lunch untouched… again. 😩
Before we assume they’re being “picky” or “difficult,” let’s get curious. 🧐
There are SO many reasons a child might not eat their school lunch:
🥪 The texture changed after sitting in a lunchbox or travelling around all morning.
⏰ They simply didn’t have enough time to eat.
👀 They don’t feel comfortable eating in front of other kids.
🍝They saw a friend’s lunch and suddenly that looked much more appealing.
🤷♀️ They just weren’t interested in what was packed that day.
Instead of criticizing the uneaten food, ask questions.
What made it hard to eat? What would make it easier next time? What ideas do YOU have?
Getting your child’s input—and involving them in finding solutions—is so much more useful than telling them what they “should” have eaten.
Because the goal isn’t a perfectly balanced lunchbox.
The goal is that they actually eat something.
