☀️ TAN SMARTER, NOT JUST MORE OFTEN ☀️

One of the biggest misconceptions in tanning is that tanning more often will help you get darker faster.

In reality, your tan develops after your session.

When your skin is exposed to UV light, it begins a process of producing and distributing melanin—the pigment responsible for tanning. That process takes time. For many people, visible color doesn't fully appear for 24–48 hours, and deeper color can continue developing for days afterward.

That's one reason we encourage clients to allow 48 hours between sessions whenever possible, even though regulations may allow tanning again after 24 hours.

✨ More time between sessions allows:
• Melanin production to continue
• Existing color to fully develop
• Skin time to recover and rehydrate
• More consistent, longer-lasting results

It's also important to remember that tanning is a gradual process. Most clients begin with shorter session times and slowly work their way up based on their skin type and tanning history. Building UV tolerance safely is part of achieving the best possible results.

• Your natural skin type
• Time of year
• Age and hormonal changes
• Medications
• Hydration levels
• Skin care habits
