June 15โ21 is Seniors Loneliness Awareness Week ๐
Social connection is an important part of our overall health and well-being. Yet many older adults experience loneliness and social isolation due to factors such as health challenges, loss of loved ones, reduced mobility, or changing social networks.
This week, we encourage everyone to take a moment to connect with a senior in their life. A phone call, a visit, a shared coffee, or even a simple conversation can make a meaningful difference.
According to GenWell, more than half of Canadian seniors report feelings of loneliness, reminding us that connection is not just nice to haveโit is an important part of healthy aging.
