This popular modern magical practice is embraced by many in the spiritual community as a way of welcoming abundance, prosperity, success, and positive opportunities into the home.

While this is a modern spiritual custom rather than an ancient Wiccan tradition, it serves as a beautiful reminder to begin each month with gratitude, hope, and clear intentions.

After many years of trial, one of the best things I figured out is to begin my Reiki sessions with a warm mineral salt foot soak.
At first glance, it may seem like a simple comfort ritual or perhaps a nod to my background in holistic esthetics — but for me, it has always been much more intentional than that.

Over the past 10 years as a Reiki practitioner, I have slowly developed my own style of treatment by blending energy work, nervous system support, grounding practices, and deep relaxation techniques. Every small detail in my sessions has a purpose.

The warm salt foot soak is designed to help the body begin shifting out of “fight or flight” and into a calmer, more receptive state. The feet contain many energetic and reflex points connected throughout the body, and warmth combined with mineral salts can encourage grounding, relaxation, and energetic flow.

I often find that when clients have time to settle, breathe, warm their feet, and simply arrive fully into the moment, the Reiki session that follows feels deeper, smoother, and more restorative.

Healing is not only about the Reiki itself.

It is also about creating an environment where the body, mind, and spirit feel safe enough to soften, release, and receive.

Over the coming weeks, I will share more of the little details woven into my sessions and why I use them. These intentional touches have been shaped through years of experience, intuition, learning, and working with many beautiful clients along the way.

Some of you on this page may not know that alongside my Reiki work, I’ve also started a little micro bakery from my home. (Hill House Micro Bakery)

What’s interesting is that years ago, after being completely burned out from working in the food industry, I made a statement that I never wanted to cook for a living again. At that point in my life, I truly meant it. I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and disconnected from any joy in it.

Now that I’m building this little bakery, as part of a holistic living collective, that old statement keeps getting brought back to me like it’s supposed to define me forever.

But healing changes people.

The woman who said those words years ago is not the same woman standing here today. Reiki, healing, rest, reflection, and life itself have changed me. Back then, cooking represented stress and survival. Now it feels creative, grounding, comforting, and strangely healing in its own way.

I think one of the most limiting things we can do to ourselves is allow other people to place us in a box based on who we used to be, what we once said, or what made sense during one difficult season of our lives.

Humans are meant to evolve.

I think sometimes people forget that growth means change. We are allowed to rediscover parts of ourselves under different circumstances and with healthier boundaries.

We are allowed to try again differently.
We are allowed to outgrow old stories.

So no… I wasn’t lying back then.
And no… I’m not confused now.

I’m simply no longer the same version of myself.

Part of healing is allowing yourself to change without asking permission or seeking approval.

Boxes are for gifts and cookies, not for people...so don't allow anyone to put you into a box...unless there's cookies involved 😉😘❤️

Why do I always include a guided meditation in all my sessions, even the private ones?

I'm a Holy Fire® Reiki Master/
Practitioner and my process for sessions is a little unique. Holy Fire® Reiki healing occurs primarily through guided meditations, where the practitioner steps aside and the energy works directly with the client. Because the reiki energy does not have to filter through me, the healing energy tends to be very pure and stronger.

How It Works....
On a direct connection: I do not "do" the healing, I guide the reiki to where it's needed. The Holy Fire® energy guides you directly with minimal talking by me. After a few minutes of imagery, I will be quiet and the energy will take over, usually for around 20 minutes. During these sessions, the reiki energy can lull you into an alpha state very efficiently

Session Flow
I first open the energy channels with a hot foot soak and herbal tea. Then:
• You relax comfortably and close your eyes.
• Listen to gentle guided imagery.
• I will become silent as the energy begins working.
• You get to rest in cozy stillness for 15–20 minutes.
• The energy helps heal & release blocks, fears, and emotional wounds.
• I gently bring you back to awareness, and ground you with some hands-on reiki treatment.

Why It’s Unique
• Traditional Usui Reiki relies more on practitioner hand positions.
• Holy Fire® Reiki focuses on direct spiritual experience and inner healing.
• The energy naturally adapts to each person’s unique needs.

Holy Fire is highly evolved and continues to be developed as current needs are raised, the healing energies become more refined and advanced. This Lineage is deeply rooted in tradition and honor while still being progressive and open minded.

As I step back into my role as a Reiki Master and begin offering sessions in my home, I’m deeply aware that many people are navigating financial stress right now. Because of that, I’ve thoughtfully created several ways to make Reiki and self-care more accessible while still offering a meaningful and supportive experience.

1. A Gentle, Grounding Private Reiki Experience
Each private Reiki session includes a calming pre-Reiki ritual designed to help you fully settle into the experience. Guests are welcomed with a warm foot soak and a cup of herbal tea or lemon water before the session begins.
While these details may seem simple, they are actually an important part of the healing process. This quiet time allows you to slow down, arrive fully in your body, connect with the energy of the space, and begin regulating the nervous system. By the time the Reiki session starts, you are already more relaxed, open, and receptive to the healing energy being offered.
It’s one of the small ways I try to help clients receive the deepest possible benefit and value from their session.
Private Reiki Sessions in my Home Studio: $50

2. Small Group Reiki Sessions
I’ve also created a small group Reiki model that offers a more affordable way to experience Reiki in a supportive and intimate setting. Beyond being cost effective, the shared energy and synergy of a small group can make the experience especially powerful and comforting.
Participants often notice a deep sense of peace, grounding, emotional release, and connection within the group atmosphere. It’s a gentle reminder that healing does not always have to happen alone.
Small Home Group Sessions (3–4 participants): $30 per person

3. Community Reiki Sessions
For those looking for the most accessible option, I also offer larger community Reiki gatherings in shared spaces. These sessions are designed to provide calm, connection, and energetic synergy in an affordable way for people to experience Reiki regularly.
Community Reiki Sessions: • $15 drop-in
• $52 for a 4-session pass
